Alle ore 9:30 si terrà il torneo degli scacchi, presso la sala Consigliare del Comune di Monselice, dove ogni contrada partecipa con un proprio rappresentante. I partecipanti sono M (maestri) o GM (gran maestri) Nazionali e/o Internazionali. Tutti gli scacchisti si affrontano tra loro in un girone all’Italiana. I primi due classificati disputano la finale a porte chiuse che viene poi riproposta al pubblico con scacchi viventi in costume medievale in Piazza Mazzini a Monselice. La classifica finale del torneo di scacchi determina anche l’ordine di partenza del Corteo Storico.
At 9:30 AM, the chess tournament will take place in the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Monselice, where each district participates with its own representative. The participants are M (masters) or GM (grandmasters) National and/or International. All chess players compete against each other in a round-robin format. The top two finishers will play a closed final, which is then reenacted for the public with live chess in medieval costume in Piazza Mazzini in Monselice. The final ranking of the chess tournament also determines the starting order of the Historical Parade.
Um 9:30 Uhr beginnt das Schachturnier im Ratssaal der Gemeinde Monselice, wo jede Stadt mit einem eigenen Vertreter teilnimmt. Die Teilnehmer sind M (Meister) oder GM (Großmeister) auf nationaler und/oder internationaler Ebene. Alle Schachspieler treten in einem Rundenturnier im italienischen Format gegeneinander an. Die ersten beiden Platzierten spielen das Finale hinter verschlossenen Türen, das dann dem Publikum mit lebenden Schachfiguren in mittelalterlicher Kostümierung auf dem Piazza Mazzini in Monselice präsentiert wird. Die Endwertung des Schachturniers bestimmt auch die Startreihenfolge des historischen Umzugs.
