Dopo essere arrivato da molto lontano e aver fatto visita ai bambini, agli anziani e a tutti gli abitanti della valle, San Nicolò intraprenderà il viaggio di ritorno verso la sua terra natia.
Per salutarlo ancora una volta e augurargli buon viaggio, San Nicolò sarà ad Arabba domenica 7 dicembre 2025 alle ore 16:30, presso la Sala Boè c/o Ufficio Turistico di Arabba. È previsto un laboratorio creativo, durante il quale i più piccoli potranno assemblare, insieme a San Nicolò, i tasselli di legno che andranno a comporre un bellissimo mosaico.
San Nicolò - Curiosità
La figura di San Nicolò, vissuto nel IV secolo, si festeggia tradizionalmente la notte tra il 5 e il 6 dicembre: secondo la tradizione, san Nicolò regalò una dote a tre fanciulle povere perché potessero andare spose, e - in un'altra occasione - salvò tre fanciulli.
Nel Medioevo si diffuse in Europa l’uso di commemorare questo episodio con lo scambio di doni nel giorno del santo (6 dicembre). L'usanza è ancora in auge in molti paesi Europei e in Italia: la notte del 5 dicembre in groppa al suo mulo passa per tutti i Paesi e fa visita ai bambini, se sono stati buoni riceveranno piccoli doni, mentre i bambini cattivi devono fare i conti con i suoi pelosi e demoniaci servitori.

A creative workshop is planned, during which the little ones will be able to assemble, together with Saint Nicholas, the wooden pieces that will form a beautiful mosaic.
Saint Nicholas - Curiosities
The figure of Saint Nicholas, who lived in the 4th century, is traditionally celebrated on the night between December 5 and 6: according to tradition, Saint Nicholas gave a dowry to three poor girls so they could get married, and - on another occasion - he saved three boys.
In the Middle Ages, the custom of commemorating this episode with the exchange of gifts on the saint's day (December 6) spread throughout Europe. This custom is still alive in many European countries and in Italy: on the night of December 5, he travels on his mule through all the towns and visits the children, who, if they have been good, will receive small gifts, while the naughty children must deal with his furry and demonic servants.
Nachdem er aus weiter Ferne angekommen ist und die Kinder, die älteren Menschen und alle Bewohner des Tales besucht hat, wird der heilige Nikolaus die Rückreise in seine Heimat antreten.
Um ihn noch einmal zu verabschieden und ihm eine gute Reise zu wünschen, wird der heilige Nikolaus am Sonntag, den 7. Dezember 2025 um 16:30 Uhr in Arabba sein, im Sala Boè beim Tourismusbüro von Arabba. Es ist ein kreativer Workshop vorgesehen, in dem die Kleinen zusammen mit dem heiligen Nikolaus die Holzstücke zusammenfügen können, die ein wunderschönes Mosaik bilden werden.
Heiliger Nikolaus - Kuriositäten
Die Figur des heiligen Nikolaus, der im 4. Jahrhundert lebte, wird traditionell in der Nacht vom 5. auf den 6. Dezember gefeiert: Laut der Tradition schenkte der heilige Nikolaus drei armen Mädchen eine Mitgift, damit sie heiraten konnten, und - bei einer anderen Gelegenheit - rettete er drei Jungen.
Im Mittelalter verbreitete sich in Europa der Brauch, dieses Ereignis am Tag des Heiligen (6. Dezember) mit dem Austausch von Geschenken zu gedenken. Der Brauch ist in vielen europäischen Ländern und in Italien nach wie vor lebendig: In der Nacht vom 5. Dezember kommt er auf seinem Esel durch alle Dörfer und besucht die Kinder; wenn sie brav waren, erhalten sie kleine Geschenke, während die unartigen Kinder sich mit seinen pelzigen und dämonischen Dienern auseinandersetzen müssen.
