La Stagione Teatrale 2026-2027 del Teatro Accademia di Conegliano, dal titolo "Conegliano su il sipario", prosegue giovedì 21 gennaio alle ore 21.00 con "Lungs | Polmoni", il celebre testo di Duncan Macmillan diretto da Alberto Giusta. Sul palco si ritrova una coppia artistica amatissima dal pubblico e dalla straordinaria intesa: Maria Amelia Monti e Gigio Alberti.
Cosa significa decidere di diventare genitori oggi? Lo spettacolo risponde a questa domanda attraverso un dialogo vorticoso che attraversa l’intera vita di una coppia. Senza l'ausilio di scenografie ingombranti e affidandosi unicamente alla potenza della parola, i due interpreti danno voce alle grandi ansie della nostra epoca, dal cambiamento climatico all’incertezza economica, fino alla fragilità dei sentimenti. Il vero motore della messinscena è però una travolgente ironia: la scrittura di Macmillan, fatta di battute a raffica e nevrosi quotidiane, si trasforma grazie alla maestria comica dei protagonisti in un momento di allegria liberatoria. Il pubblico si specchia così nelle contraddizioni di chi cerca di fare la cosa giusta in un mondo complesso, in un perfetto e profondo equilibrio tra commozione e sarcasmo.

The 2026-2027 Theater Season of the Accademia Theater in Conegliano, titled "Conegliano on the Curtain," continues on Thursday, January 21 at 9.00 p.m. with "Lungs | Polmoni", the famous text by Duncan Macmillan directed by Alberto Giusta. On stage is a beloved artistic couple cherished by the public and with extraordinary chemistry: Maria Amelia Monti and Gigio Alberti.
What does it mean to decide to become parents today? The play answers this question through a whirlwind dialogue that traverses the entire life of a couple. Without the aid of cumbersome sets and relying solely on the power of words, the two performers give voice to the great anxieties of our time, from climate change to economic uncertainty, to the fragility of feelings. However, the true driving force of the performance is an overwhelming irony: Macmillan's writing, filled with rapid-fire jokes and daily neuroses, is transformed by the comedic mastery of the protagonists into a moment of liberating joy. The audience sees themselves in the contradictions of those trying to do the right thing in a complex world, in a perfect and profound balance between emotion and sarcasm.

Die Theatersaison 2026-2027 des Teatro Accademia in Conegliano, mit dem Titel "Conegliano hebt den Vorhang", geht weiter am Donnerstag, den 21. Januar um 21.00 Uhr mit "Lungs | Lungen", dem berühmten Text von Duncan Macmillan, inszeniert von Alberto Giusta. Auf der Bühne steht ein beim Publikum beliebtes Künstlerpaar, das eine außergewöhnliche Verbindung hat: Maria Amelia Monti und Gigio Alberti.
Was bedeutet es heute, sich für Elternschaft zu entscheiden? Das Stück antwortet auf diese Frage durch einen turbulenten Dialog, der das gesamte Leben eines Paares umfasst. Ohne die Hilfe von sperrigen Bühnenbildern und sich ausschließlich auf die Kraft des Wortes verlassend, geben die beiden Darsteller den großen Ängsten unserer Zeit eine Stimme, von der Klimaveränderung über wirtschaftliche Unsicherheiten bis hin zur Fragilität der Gefühle. Der wahre Motor der Aufführung ist jedoch eine überwältigende Ironie: Die Schreibe von Macmillan, bestehend aus Schlagabtauschen und alltäglichen Neurosen, verwandelt sich dank der komödiantischen Meisterschaft der Protagonisten in einen Moment befreiter Fröhlichkeit. Das Publikum spiegelt sich somit in den Widersprüchen derjenigen wider, die versuchen, das Richtige in einer komplexen Welt zu tun, in einem perfekten und tiefen Gleichgewicht zwischen Rührung und Sarkasmus.
