Venerdì 28 febbraio alle ore 21.00, l'associazione Inquadra propone un incontro presso la sua sede con Dennis Ziliotto.
Dennis Ziliotto si appassiona fin da molto giovane alla fotografia e dopo qualche anno questa passione diventa professione. La passione per una fotografia analogica, materica e chimica lo spingono a rispolverare formule e vecchie alchimie per recuperare tecniche ormai dimenticate quali il collodio umido e la stampa all’albumina. Predilige il ritratto ambientato, in cui la costruzione della scena e del personaggio sono l’attrattiva maggiore. Le sue opere sono un insieme di fantasia e personaggi bizzarri, in cui si possono intravedere influenze cinematografiche e pittoriche ispirate dai suoi registi (Burton, Lynch, Wenders) e pittori (Goya, Bosch, Caravaggio) preferiti. Predilige e pratica essenzialmente l’ambrotipia, – un antico metodo per la realizzazione di immagini su lastre di vetro sperimentato per la prima volta dalla seconda metà dell’800 – il lungo tempo di esposizione cristallizza ogni gestualità, coglie nei volti l’espressione e lo sguardo, li ferma nel tempo.
Negli ultimi tempi esplora lo strumento delle sintografie realizzate con l’ausilio della AI per portare alla luce le sue fantasie.

On Friday, February 28 at 9:00 PM, the association Inquadra is hosting a meeting at its headquarters with Dennis Ziliotto.
Dennis Ziliotto has been passionate about photography since a young age, and after a few years, this passion turns into a profession. His love for analog, material, and chemical photography drives him to dust off formulas and old alchemies to recover techniques that have long been forgotten, such as wet collodion and albumen printing. He prefers environmental portraiture, where the construction of the scene and the character are the main attractions. His works are a mix of fantasy and bizarre characters, in which one can glimpse cinematic and painterly influences inspired by his favorite directors (Burton, Lynch, Wenders) and painters (Goya, Bosch, Caravaggio). He primarily favors and practices ambrotype – an ancient method for creating images on glass plates first experimented with in the second half of the 1800s – where the long exposure time crystallizes every gesture, captures expressions and gazes on faces, and freezes them in time.
Recently, he has been exploring the tool of syntographs created with the aid of AI to bring his fantasies to light.

Am Freitag, den 28. Februar um 21:00 Uhr, lädt der Verein Inquadra zu einem Treffen in seinem Sitz mit Dennis Ziliotto ein.
Dennis Ziliotto begeistert sich seit seiner Jugend für die Fotografie, und nach einigen Jahren wird diese Leidenschaft zum Beruf. Seine Vorliebe für analoge, materielle und chemische Fotografie treibt ihn dazu, alte Formeln und Alchemien wieder aufleben zu lassen, um längst vergessene Techniken wie das nasse Kollodium und den Albumindruck wiederzubeleben. Er bevorzugt das inszenierte Porträt, bei dem der Aufbau der Szene und der Charakter die größte Anziehungskraft ausüben. Seine Werke sind eine Mischung aus Fantasie und skurrilen Charakteren, in denen cineastische und malerische Einflüsse sichtbar werden, inspiriert von seinen Lieblingsregisseuren (Burton, Lynch, Wenders) und Malern (Goya, Bosch, Caravaggio). Er bevorzugt und praktiziert hauptsächlich die Ambrotypie – eine alte Methode zur Herstellung von Bildern auf Glasplatten, die erstmals in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts erprobt wurde – die lange Belichtungszeit kristallisiert jede Gestik, erfasst die Ausdrücke und Blicke der Gesichter und hält sie in der Zeit fest.
In letzter Zeit erkundet er das Werkzeug der Synthografien, die mit Hilfe von KI erstellt werden, um seine Fantasien ans Licht zu bringen.
