Sabato 28 gennaio alle ore 21.00 al Teatro Auditorium Dina Orsi andrà in scena “Il Bisbetico”di Menandro con la regia di Enzo Rapisarda.
Esilarante commedia in due atti ispirata al Dyscolos liberamente tratta dall’unica opera che possediamo del commediografo greco. Cnemone è un vecchio burbero e misantropo che vive assieme alla sua serva scontrosa Simiche e alla giovane figlia che tiene isolata dal resto del mondo. Il dio Pan con l’aiuto delle altre divinità, fa arrivare alla porta un bel giovane aristocratico ateniese vista la devozione della ragazza. L’amore che nasce tra i due sarà ostacolato da Cnemone, ma avrà a favore l’astuzia dello scaltro e fedele Pirria che diventerà il protagonista.

On Saturday 28th January at 9 p.m., the Dina Orsi Auditorium Theatre will stage Menander's "Il Bisbetico", directed by Enzo Rapisarda.
A hilarious comedy in two acts inspired by Dyscolos, freely taken from the only work we possess by the Greek playwright. Cnemon is a gruff and misanthropic old man who lives with his grumpy servant Simiche and his young daughter whom he keeps isolated from the rest of the world. The god Pan, with the help of the other gods, arranges for a handsome young Athenian aristocrat to come to the door in view of the girl's devotion. The love that arises between the two will be thwarted by Cnemon, but will be helped by the cunning and faithful Pyrrha, who will become the protagonist.

Eine urkomische Komödie in zwei Akten, inspiriert von Dyskolos, frei nach dem einzigen Werk, das wir von dem griechischen Dramatiker besitzen. Cnemon ist ein schroffer und misanthropischer alter Mann, der mit seinem mürrischen Diener Simiche und seiner kleinen Tochter lebt, die er vom Rest der Welt isoliert hält. Der Gott Pan sorgt mit Hilfe der anderen Götter dafür, dass ein gut aussehender junger Athener Aristokrat an die Tür kommt, um die Hingabe des Mädchens zu sehen. Die Liebe, die zwischen den beiden entsteht, wird von Cnemon vereitelt, aber von der listigen und treuen Pyrrha unterstützt, die zur Protagonistin wird.
