Immergersi nella tradizione della città riproponendo, come in un teatro, le storie più belle, raccontate però attraverso le mosse di una partita a dama vivente: questa è la Dama Castellana di Conegliano, che dopo la pausa dovuta all'emergenza sanitaria ritorna ad animare il centro storico coneglianese.
Ad aprire la manifestazione di sabato 10 giugno sarà il grande Corteo Rinascimentale, che da Viale Carducci giungerà in Piazza Cima, ricco dei suoi oltre 200 figuranti in abito storico. Al suo arrivo, si terrà la Benedizione dei Gonfaloni, che vedrà dame e cavalieri in devozione per richiedere una buona ventura per il proprio quartiere.
A seguire, sempre in Piazza Cima avrà luogo la Partita a Dama Vivente, dal titolo "Sulla luna": uno spettacolo che ripercorrerà il canto dedicato ad Astolfo inserito all'interno dell'Orlando Furioso. Una pièce teatrale che presenterà le gesta di Astolfo e il suo viaggio sulla luna, per trasformare la partita di Dama Vivente tra i quartieri di Ogliano e San Giuseppe in un percorso narrativo unico caratterizzato da una trama storicamente coerente, arricchita da coreografie e performance capaci di emozionare lo spettatore.
In caso di pioggia, lo spettacolo verrà rimandato a domenica 11 giugno.
L'ingresso per lo spettacolo in Piazza Cima è a pagamento e il biglietto acquistabile sul sito dell'Associazione.
To immerse the spectator in the traditions of the city by re-proposing, as in a theatre, the most beautiful stories, told through the moves of a game of living draughts: this is the aim of the show of the Dama Castellana of Conegliano, which after the pause due to the health emergency returns to animate the historical centre of Conegliano.
The event will be opened on Saturday 10 June by the great Renaissance Procession, which will arrive in Piazza Cima from Viale Carducci, full of over 200 participants in historical dress. Upon its arrival, the Blessing of the Banners will take place, with ladies and knights in devotion to request a good fortune for their neighbourhood.
This will be followed, again in Piazza Cima, by the Partita a Dama Vivente (Living Checkers' Game), entitled 'Sulla luna' (On the Moon): a performance that will retrace the song dedicated to Astolfo included in Orlando Furioso. A play that will present the exploits of Astolfo and his journey to the moon, to transform the Living Game of Draughts between the neighbourhoods of Ogliano and San Giuseppe into a unique narrative path characterised by a historically coherent plot, enriched by choreographies and performances capable of moving the spectator.
In case of rain, the show will be postponed to Sunday 11 June.

Eintauchen in die Tradition der Stadt, indem man wie in einem Theater die schönsten Geschichten wieder aufführt, die jedoch durch die Züge eines lebendigen Damespiels erzählt werden: das ist die Dama Castellana von Conegliano, die nach der Pause aufgrund eines gesundheitlichen Notfalls zurückkehrt, um das historische Zentrum von Conegliano zu beleben.
Eröffnet wird die Veranstaltung am Samstag, den 10. Juni, mit dem großen Renaissance-Umzug, der mit über 200 Teilnehmern in historischen Gewändern von der Viale Carducci aus auf der Piazza Cima eintreffen wird. Nach der Ankunft findet die Segnung der Banner statt, bei der die Damen und Ritter in Andacht um Glück für ihr Viertel bitten.
Im Anschluss daran findet auf der Piazza Cima das lebende Damespiel mit dem Titel "Sulla luna" (Auf dem Mond) statt: eine Aufführung, die das Astolfo gewidmete Lied aus dem Orlando Furioso wiedergibt. Ein Stück, das die Heldentaten von Astolfo und seine Reise zum Mond darstellt, um das lebendige Damespiel zwischen den Stadtvierteln von Ogliano und San Giuseppe in eine einzigartige Erzählung zu verwandeln, die sich durch eine historisch kohärente Handlung auszeichnet und durch Choreographien und Darbietungen bereichert wird, die den Zuschauer bewegen.
