In questo concerto, per metà suonato e per metà narrato, i due musicisti raccontano le vite di donne forti e sorprendenti, celebrate dal jazz con brani che ne hanno custodito la memoria. Scopriremo chi fossero davvero e perché grandi compositori hanno scelto di render loro omaggio attraverso la musica. Raccontare le vite di queste donne significa anche attraversare un pezzo di storia del Novecento: un secolo di emancipazione, di movimenti per i diritti civili, di trasformazioni culturali.

In this concert, half played and half narrated, the two musicians tell the stories of strong and surprising women, celebrated by jazz with pieces that have preserved their memory. We will discover who they really were and why great composers chose to pay tribute to them through music. Telling the lives of these women also means traversing a piece of twentieth-century history: a century of emancipation, civil rights movements, and cultural transformations.

In diesem Konzert, das zur Hälfte gespielt und zur Hälfte erzählt wird, berichten die beiden Musiker von den Leben starker und überraschender Frauen, die im Jazz mit Stücken gefeiert werden, die deren Erinnerung bewahrt haben. Wir werden herausfinden, wer sie wirklich waren und warum große Komponisten sich entschieden haben, ihnen durch die Musik zu huldigen. Die Geschichten über das Leben dieser Frauen zu erzählen, bedeutet auch, durch ein Stück Geschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts zu reisen: ein Jahrhundert der Emanzipation, der Bürgerrechtsbewegungen und kulturellen Veränderungen.
