Tradizione, fuoco e leggenda sulle nevi delle 5 Torri
Il Rifugio Averau inaugura il nuovo anno con un evento unico che affonda le radici nelle antiche tradizioni ladine: Le Donàze in Pista, in collaborazione con l’Associazione Le Donàze de Col.
Dalle 10:00 alle 14:00, tra neve scintillante e panorami mozzafiato, le Donàze — figure demoniache tipiche del folklore di Colle Santa Lucia — compariranno intorno al rifugio, portando riti, suoni e movimenti che evocano l’atmosfera magica della montagna di un tempo, con richiami alle celebrazioni di inizio anno e ai fuochi propiziatori.
Protagonista anche la Vegia da Mont, figura ancestrale che, secondo la tradizione, vigila sui passi e protegge chi vive e lavora in quota. La sua presenza accompagnerà le Donàze in un percorso tra suggestione e leggenda, tra storia e magia.
Un evento che richiama le celebrazioni dei Krampus, ma con un’identità tutta locale: meno inferno, più tradizione; meno spavento, più montagna.
Un’occasione speciale per vivere da vicino un autentico pezzo di cultura alpina, in uno dei luoghi più iconici delle Dolomiti.

Tradition, fire, and legend on the snow of the 5 Torri
Rifugio Averau kicks off the New Year with a unique event rooted in ancient Ladin traditions: Le Donàze in Pista, in collaboration with the Le Donàze de Col Association.
From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, amid sparkling snow and breathtaking alpine panoramas, the Donàze — demonic figures from the folklore of Colle Santa Lucia — will appear around the refuge, performing rituals, sounds, and movements that revive the magical atmosphere of the mountains of old, with nods to New Year celebrations and ceremonial fires.
Also central to the event is the Vegia da Mont, an ancestral figure who watches over the mountain passes and protects those who live and work at high altitude. Her presence guides the Donàze through a journey of mystery and legend, blending history and magic.
The event echoes the Krampus celebrations, but with a uniquely local identity: less hell, more tradition; less fright, more mountain.

Tradition, Feuer und Legende im Schnee der 5 Türme
Die Hütte Averau eröffnet das neue Jahr mit einem einzigartigen Ereignis, das in den alten ladinischen Traditionen verwurzelt ist: Die Donàze auf der Piste, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Vereinigung Le Donàze de Col.
Von 10:00 bis 14:00, zwischen funkelndem Schnee und atemberaubenden Ausblicken, werden die Donàze — dämonische Figuren des Folklore von Colle Santa Lucia — rund um die Hütte erscheinen und Riten, Klänge und Bewegungen präsentieren, die die magische Atmosphäre der Berge vergangener Zeiten heraufbeschwören, mit Anklängen an die Neujahrsfeiern und die glücksbringenden Feuer.
Auch die Vegia da Mont ist Hauptdarstellerin, eine uralte Figur, die laut Tradition über die Schritte wacht und diejenigen schützt, die in der Höhe leben und arbeiten. Ihre Präsenz wird die Donàze auf einem Pfad zwischen Faszination und Legende, zwischen Geschichte und Magie begleiten.
Ein Ereignis, das an die Feierlichkeiten der Krampus erinnert, aber eine ganz lokale Identität hat: weniger Hölle, mehr Tradition; weniger Schrecken, mehr Berge.
Eine besondere Gelegenheit, ein authentisches Stück alpiner Kultur hautnah zu erleben, an einem der ikonischsten Orte der Dolomiten.
