Adagiata lungo il fiume Tergola e immersa nel parco Tergolandia, la chiesa campestre è intitolata alla Madonna dell'Addolorata e risale tra l’VIII e il IX secolo. La struttura conserva elementi di grande interesse che sussurrano la storia passata: mattoni di epoca romana, altri disposti con l’antica tecnica muraria a spina di pesce.
All’interno della piccola chiesa sono presenti graffiti medievali attribuibili a pellegrini e viandanti.
Il contesto naturalistico circostante offre percorsi ciclopedonali lungo il fiume e un parco, Tergolandia Arte e Natura, che si snoda per circa 1 chilometro con installazioni artistiche e fiabesche, realizzate da artisti locali con materiali di recupero.

Set along the Tergola River and immersed in the Tergolandia park, the country church is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows and dates back to between the 8th and 9th centuries. The structure preserves elements of great interest that whisper of its past history: bricks from the Roman era, others arranged with the ancient herringbone masonry technique.
Inside the small church, there are medieval graffiti attributable to pilgrims and travelers.
The surrounding natural context offers cycling and walking pathways along the river and a park, Tergolandia Art and Nature, which stretches for about 1 kilometer with artistic and fairy-tale installations, created by local artists using reclaimed materials.

Am Ufer des Tergola gelegen und eingebettet im Park Tergolandia, ist die Feldkirche der Madonna dell'Addolorata gewidmet und stammt aus dem 8. bis 9. Jahrhundert. Das Gebäude bewahrt Elemente von großem Interesse, die die vergangene Geschichte flüstern: Ziegel aus römischer Zeit, andere, die mit der antiken Fischgrät-Technik verbaut sind.
Im Inneren der kleinen Kirche sind mittelalterliche Graffiti vorhanden, die Pilgern und Wanderern zugeordnet werden können.
Die umliegende Naturlandschaft bietet Rad- und Fußwege entlang des Flusses und einen Park, Tergolandia Kunst und Natur, der sich über etwa 1 Kilometer mit künstlerischen und märchenhaften Installationen erstreckt, die von lokalen Künstlern aus Recyclingmaterialien geschaffen wurden.
