La quarta edizione della rassegna Tracce di foliage ci porta dritti nel vortice caotico delle foglie che cadono. Con “Fogli(e) d’autunno” l’attenzione è tutta per loro, elemento naturale ricco di significati, capace di accompagnare le riflessioni autunnali, quando i colori che prendono il posto del verde solleticano emozioni e pensieri.
Giovedì 22 ottobre alle 18:30 si terrà "I segreti manifesti delle piante con Entropy for Life", presso l'Auditorium Comunale, una conferenza spettacolo del biologo evoluzionista e divulgatore scientifico Giacomo Moro Mauretto, Entropy for Life.
Le piante sono intorno a noi costantemente e proprio per questo tendiamo a darle per scontate. Eppure, è grazie a loro se la vita è diventata cosi vasta e abbondante sulla terra emersa. Dietro alla loro apparente semplicità, si nasconde una biologia sorprendente, fatta di soluzioni ingegnose, compromessi evolutivi e meccanismi fisici tutt'altro che intuitivi. Alcuni fenomeni apparentemente banali, come il fluire dell'acqua attraverso i tronchi, sembrano quasi sfidare la nostra intuizione della fisica; persino il modo in cui costruiscono il roprio corpo è paradossale: gran parte della loro materia proviene etteralmente dall'aria che le circonda ma riuscire ad alimentarsi è in realtà un'impresa. Attraverso la scienza scopriremo, assieme a Entropyfor Life, che le piante ogni giorno con la loro esuberanza ci invitano a indagare i loro segreti.

The fourth edition of the exhibition Traces of Foliage takes us straight into the chaotic whirl of falling leaves. With “Leaves of Autumn” the focus is entirely on them, a natural element rich in meanings, capable of accompanying autumn reflections, when the colors that replace green tickle emotions and thoughts.
On Thursday, October 22 at 6:30 p.m. there will be "The Manifest Secrets of Plants with Entropy for Life", at the Municipal Auditorium, a show-conference by evolutionary biologist and science communicator Giacomo Moro Mauretto, Entropy for Life.
Plants are constantly around us and because of this, we tend to take them for granted. Yet, it is thanks to them that life has become so vast and abundant on the land. Behind their apparent simplicity lies a surprising biology, made up of ingenious solutions, evolutionary compromises, and physical mechanisms that are anything but intuitive. Some apparently trivial phenomena, such as the flow of water through the trunks, almost seem to challenge our intuition of physics; even the way they build their own bodies is paradoxical: a large part of their matter literally comes from the air that surrounds them but managing to nourish themselves is actually a feat. Through science, we will discover, together with Entropy for Life, that plants invite us every day with their exuberance to explore their secrets.

Die vierte Ausgabe der Reihe Spuren des Laubs führt uns direkt in den chaotischen Strudel der fallenden Blätter. Mit „Blätter im Herbst” liegt die gesamte Aufmerksamkeit auf ihnen, einem natürlichen Element voller Bedeutungen, das die herbstlichen Gedanken begleitet, wenn die Farben, die das Grün ersetzen, Emotionen und Gedanken hervorrufen.
Am Donnerstag, den 22. Oktober um 6:30 p.m. findet im Auditorium Comunale die Veranstaltung "Die offensichtlichen Geheimnisse der Pflanzen mit Entropy for Life" statt, ein spektakulärer Vortrag des Evolutionsbiologen und Wissenschaftskommunikators Giacomo Moro Mauretto, Entropy for Life.
Pflanzen sind ständig um uns herum und gerade deshalb nehmen wir sie oft als selbstverständlich. Doch es ist dank ihnen, dass das Leben so umfangreich und reichhaltig auf dem Festland geworden ist. Hinter ihrer scheinbaren Einfachheit verbirgt sich eine erstaunliche Biologie, geprägt von genialen Lösungen, evolutionären Kompromissen und alles andere als intuitiven physikalischen Mechanismen. Einige scheinbar banale Phänomene, wie das Fließen von Wasser durch die Stämme, scheinen unsere physikalische Intuition herauszufordern; selbst die Art und Weise, wie sie ihren eigenen Körper aufbauen, ist paradox: Ein großer Teil ihrer Materie stammt buchstäblich aus der Luft um sie herum, aber sich selbst zu ernähren, ist in Wirklichkeit eine Herausforderung. Durch die Wissenschaft werden wir gemeinsam mit Entropy for Life entdecken, dass die Pflanzen uns jeden Tag mit ihrer Üppigkeit einladen, ihre Geheimnisse zu erforschen.
