Domenica 18 gennaio alle ore 21:00, a Palazzo Crepadona, si terrà la proiezione del film muto "South" di Frank Hurley, con commento musicale dal vivo di Paolo Forte.
Il film uscì nel 1919 per documentare con immagini eccezionali quella che è ritenuta anche oggi una delle più grandi avventure dell’esplorazione, il naufragio della nave Endurance con il capitano Ernest Shackleton e i suoi 22 uomini tra i ghiacci del Polo Sud, negli anni 1914 - 1916. Da questa trappola di ghiaccio Shackleton e tutti i suoi marinai riuscirono a salvarsi con un epico viaggio sulle scialuppe nell’oceano artico e con una traversata alpinistica delle isole incontrate.
Capolavoro della cinematografia recentemente restaurato, South sarà commentato dal vivo dalla fisarmonica di Paolo Forte, musicista poliedrico e dalle grandi capacità espressive.

On Sunday, January 18 at 9:00 PM, at Palazzo Crepadona, there will be a screening of the silent film "South" by Frank Hurley, with live musical commentary by Paolo Forte.
The film was released in 1919 to document with exceptional images what is still considered one of the greatest exploration adventures, the shipwreck of the vessel Endurance under the command of Captain Ernest Shackleton and his 22 men amidst the ice of the South Pole, from 1914 to 1916. From this ice trap, Shackleton and all his sailors managed to escape with an epic journey in lifeboats across the Arctic Ocean and an alpine crossing of the islands encountered.
A masterpiece of cinema recently restored, South will be live-commented by the accordion of Paolo Forte, a versatile musician with great expressive abilities.

Am Sonntag, den 18. Januar um 21:00 Uhr, im Palazzo Crepadona, findet die Vorführung des Stummfilms "South" von Frank Hurley statt, mit live musikalischem Kommentar von Paolo Forte.
Der Film erschien 1919, um mit außergewöhnlichen Bildern das zu dokumentieren, was auch heute noch als eines der größten Abenteuer der Erforschung gilt: das Schiffsunglück der Endurance unter Kapitän Ernest Shackleton und seinen 22 Männern in den Eisschollen der Antarktis zwischen 1914 und 1916. Aus dieser Eisscholle gelang es Shackleton und allen seinen Matrosen, sich mit einer epischen Reise in den Rettungsbooten im Arktischen Ozean und mit einer alpinen Überquerung der angetroffenen Inseln zu retten.
Ein Meisterwerk des Kinos, kürzlich restauriert, South wird live von der Akkordeonmusik von Paolo Forte kommentiert, einem vielseitigen Musiker mit großem Ausdrucksvermögen.
