Sabato 6 dicembre si terrà lo spettacolo teatrale "Lo sciopero delle bambine - L'eroicomica impresa del 1902" della XVI Edizione della rassegna teatrale 5Vie, presso il Teatro San Gaetano di Castion.
Ragazze, anzi bambine, che lavoravano come apprendiste presso le sarte e sartine della città. La più piccola aveva solo sei anni e la più grande appena quattordici. Il loro fu il primo sciopero minorile della storia d’Europa. Per cinque lunghi giorni.
Queste minuscole creature combatterono contro i giganti del loro tempo. La loro storia ci parla in modo diretto e potente, perché il loro sciopero ci racconta che nessun diritto si conquista o si difende senza rischiare, senza mettersi in gioco, e che la strada per la democrazia è uno sforzo costante in cui non ci si può tirare indietro.

On Saturday, December 6th, the theatrical performance "The Strike of the Girls - The Heroicomic Endeavor of 1902" will take place as part of the XVI Edition of the 5Vie theater festival, at the Teatro San Gaetano in Castion.
Girls, or rather little girls, who worked as apprentices with the tailors of the city. The smallest was only six years old and the oldest just fourteen. Their strike was the first child labor strike in the history of Europe. For five long days.
These tiny creatures fought against the giants of their time. Their story speaks to us directly and powerfully, because their strike tells us that no right is won or defended without risk, without putting oneself on the line, and that the path to democracy is a constant effort in which one cannot back down.

Am Samstag, den 6. Dezember, findet das Theaterstück "Der Streik der Mädchen - Der heroisch-komische Einsatz von 1902" der XVI. Ausgabe des Theaterfestivals 5Vie im Teatro San Gaetano in Castion statt.
Mädchen, genauer gesagt kleine Mädchen, die als Lehrlinge bei den Schneiderinnen der Stadt arbeiteten. Die Jüngste war nur sechs Jahre alt und die Älteste gerade einmal vierzehn. Dies war der erste Kinderstreik in der Geschichte Europas. Fünf lange Tage.
Diese winzigen Geschöpfe kämpften gegen die Riesen ihrer Zeit. Ihre Geschichte spricht uns direkt und kraftvoll an, denn ihr Streik erzählt uns, dass kein Recht erkämpft oder verteidigt werden kann, ohne zu riskieren, ohne sich auf das Spiel einzulassen, und dass der Weg zur Demokratie ein ständiger Kampf ist, bei dem man sich nicht zurückziehen kann.
