L’Ex Tempore di Scultura su Legno è un concorso, organizzato dal Consorzio Belluno Centro Storico, che rappresenta da anni l’appuntamento più atteso dell’autunno bellunese, nel periodo che anticipa la tanto amata festa del Patrono San Martino (11 novembre).
Da martedì 3 a domenica 8 novembre nel cuore del centro storico di Belluno, le vie e le piazze si trasformano in un grande laboratorio a cielo aperto durante il Simposio di Scultura, uno degli appuntamenti più attesi dell’Ex Tempore. Per alcuni giorni, il suono ritmico delle motoseghe e degli scalpelli risuona tra le antiche mura, mentre gli artisti, disposti in diverse postazioni, danno vita a opere uniche scolpendo il legno con maestria e passione.
L’aria si riempie dell’inconfondibile profumo di cirmolo, resinoso e intenso, che si mescola alle voci dei curiosi e al mormorio della città. Passeggiando tra le postazioni, si possono osservare le sculture prendere forma sotto gli occhi del pubblico: figure ispirate alla natura, volti, simboli e storie che nascono dal legno e si fanno arte.
Il tema di quest'anno è "Scolpire il fantastico: Buzzati e il suo mondo", un omaggio a Dino Buzzati in occasione dei 120 anni dalla nascita e un importante tema per festeggiare i 40 anni dell'Ex Tempore.
The Ex Tempore Wood Sculpture is a competition organized by the Belluno Historic Center Consortium, which has represented for years the most anticipated event of the Belluno autumn, in the period leading up to the much-loved feast of Patron Saint Martin (November 11).
From Tuesday November 3 to Sunday November 8, in the heart of Belluno's historic center, the streets and squares transform into a large open-air workshop during the Sculpture Symposium, one of the most anticipated events of the Ex Tempore. For several days, the rhythmic sound of chainsaws and chisels resonates among the ancient walls, while the artists, arranged in different stations, bring unique works to life by skillfully and passionately sculpting wood.
The air fills with the unmistakable fragrance of larch, resinous and intense, blending with the voices of onlookers and the murmur of the city. Strolling among the stations, one can see the sculptures taking shape before the eyes of the public: figures inspired by nature, faces, symbols, and stories that emerge from the wood and become art.
This year's theme is "Carving the Fantastic: Buzzati and His World", a tribute to Dino Buzzati on the 120th anniversary of his birth and an important theme to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Ex Tempore.
Die Ex Tempore der Holzskulptur ist ein Wettbewerb, organisiert vom Consorzio Belluno Centro Storico, der seit Jahren das am meisten erwartete Ereignis des herbstlichen Belluno darstellt, in der Zeit vor dem so sehr geliebten Fest des Schutzpatrons San Martino (11. November).
Von Dienstag 3. bis Sonntag 8. November verwandeln sich im Herzen der Altstadt von Belluno die Straßen und Plätze in ein großes Freiluftlabor während des Symposiums für Skulptur, eines der am meisten erwarteten Ereignisse der Ex Tempore. Einige Tage lang erklingt der rhythmische Klang von Motorsägen und Meißeln zwischen den alten Mauern, während die Künstler, die an verschiedenen Stationen verteilt sind, einzigartige Werke schaffen, indem sie das Holz mit Meisterschaft und Leidenschaft bearbeiten.
Die Luft füllt sich mit dem unverwechselbaren Duft von Zirbelkiefer, harzig und intensiv, der sich mit den Stimmen der Neugierigen und dem Gemurmel der Stadt mischt. Beim Schlendern zwischen den Stationen kann man beobachten, wie die Skulpturen unter den Augen des Publikums Gestalt annehmen: Figuren, inspiriert von der Natur, Gesichter, Symbole und Geschichten, die aus dem Holz geboren werden und zur Kunst werden.
Das Thema in diesem Jahr lautet "Fantastisches Sculpturen: Buzzati und seine Welt", eine Hommage an Dino Buzzati anlässlich des 120. Geburtstags und ein wichtiges Thema zur Feier des 40-jährigen Bestehens der Ex Tempore.
