La Fondazione di Studi Tiziano e Cadore propone una visita a Villa di Modolo, una delle più importanti ville storiche della provincia di Belluno, immersa nel paesaggio della Valbelluna e ai piedi delle Dolomiti.
Edificata a partire dal Seicento e ridefinita nelle forme attuali nel 1806 per volontà di Andrea Miari, la Villa rappresenta uno dei più significativi esempi di villa veneta in ambiente alpino.
Da oltre sette secoli legata alla famiglia Miari Fulcis, la dimora custodisce una storia che intreccia vicende politiche, culturali e scientifiche del territorio bellunese, testimoniata dall'architettura, dagli eleganti saloni, dalla barchessa, dal parco storico e dalle celebri meridiane volute dal conte Francesco Miari Fulcis, professore di geodesia all'Università di Padova.
La visita offrirà l'opportunità di conoscere un luogo che racconta il dialogo tra cultura, paesaggio e tradizione agricola, oggi restituito al pubblico grazie a un attento progetto di valorizzazione che ne ha riaperto gli spazi storici e il borgo rurale.
Un'occasione speciale per scoprire un patrimonio di grande fascino, dove la storia delle antiche famiglie venete si intreccia con quella della Valbelluna e con la bellezza di uno dei contesti paesaggistici più suggestivi del Veneto.

The Tiziano and Cadore Studies Foundation offers a visit to Villa di Modolo, one of the most important historic villas in the province of Belluno, immersed in the landscape of Valbelluna and at the foot of the Dolomites.
Built from the seventeenth century and redefined in its current forms in 1806 at the behest of Andrea Miari, the Villa represents one of the most significant examples of a Venetian villa in an alpine environment.
For over seven centuries linked to the Miari Fulcis family, the residence holds a history that intertwines political, cultural, and scientific events of the Belluno territory, as evidenced by the architecture, elegant salons, the barchessa, the historical park, and the famous sundials commissioned by Count Francesco Miari Fulcis, professor of geodesy at the University of Padua.
The visit will offer the opportunity to learn about a place that tells the story of the dialogue between culture, landscape, and agricultural tradition, now returned to the public thanks to a careful enhancement project that has reopened its historical spaces and the rural village.
A special occasion to discover a heritage of great charm, where the history of ancient Venetian families intertwines with that of Valbelluna and with the beauty of one of the most evocative landscapes in Veneto.

Die Fondazione di Studi Tiziano e Cadore bietet einen Besuch in der Villa di Modolo an, einer der bedeutendsten historischen Villen der Provinz Belluno, die in die Landschaft der Valbelluna und am Fuße der Dolomiten eingebettet ist.
Sie wurde ab dem 17. Jahrhundert erbaut und 1806 auf Wunsch von Andrea Miari in ihrer heutigen Form neu gestaltet. Die Villa ist ein herausragendes Beispiel für eine venetianische Villa im alpinen Umfeld.
Seit über sieben Jahrhunderten mit der Familie Miari Fulcis verbunden, bewahrt das Anwesen eine Geschichte, die politische, kulturelle und wissenschaftliche Ereignisse des bellunesischen Gebiets miteinander verknüpft, was sich in der Architektur, den eleganten Salons, der Barchessa, dem historischen Park und den berühmten Sonnenuhren zeigt, die von Graf Francesco Miari Fulcis, Professor für Geodäsie an der Universität Padua, in Auftrag gegeben wurden.
Der Besuch bietet die Gelegenheit, einen Ort kennenzulernen, der den Dialog zwischen Kultur, Landschaft und landwirtschaftlicher Tradition erzählt, heute der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht durch ein sorgfältiges Aufwertungsprojekt, das die historischen Räume und das ländliche Dorf wiedereröffnet hat.
