Per la prima volta nella sua storia, la splendida Villa Freya di Asolo apre le porte delle sue stanze private all'Arte. E lo fa con un debutto assoluto: una mostra straordinaria dedicata a Gustav Klimt, aperta dal 26 settembre 2026 al 24 gennaio 2027.
Villa Freya, dimora storica della grande viaggiatrice e scrittrice inglese Freya Stark, dove si respira un’elegante atmosfera senza tempo, è oggi pronta ad ospitare la sua prima mostra dedicata a Gustav Klimt (1862–1918). L’esposizione accoglie una preziosa raccolta di collotipie, stampe artistiche di straordinaria definizione, una raffinata selezione della rivista Ver Sacrum (1898–1903) e disegni originali del grande artista della Secessione Viennese.
Nata dalla volontà di Diego Carron e Monica Masin, la mostra crea un dialogo profondo tra il luogo, la memoria di Freya Stark e l’opera di Gustav Klimt.
La Villa conserva ancora oggi il riflesso della straordinaria scrittrice e viaggiatrice inglese che vi dimorò: uno spirito libero e sensibile ai linguaggi del mondo. L’accostamento con Klimt trova una perfetta coerenza: entrambi condividono una concezione dell’arte fondata sulla libertà intellettuale, sul legame privilegiato con il paesaggio e sulla centralità della figura femminile, intesa come principio generativo e vitale.
Il percorso espositivo unisce in un unico dialogo, vivo e stimolante, le eleganti stanze di Villa Freya al parco archeologico e botanico.
Il visitatore potrà scoprire la bellezza declinata nell’arte e nella natura, attraverso un viaggio che inizia all’interno della dimora con le grafiche d’arte di Klimt e continua nel giardino romantico inglese, dove la serra restaurata custodisce alcune riproduzioni da Ver Sacrum e i grandi lecci pluricentenari convivono con le rovine un teatro romano del I sec d.C.
La mostra è organizzata in collaborazione con la Città di Asolo e il biglietto consente riduzioni sugli ingressi del complesso monumentale del borgo.
For the first time in its history, the splendid Villa Freya in Asolo opens the doors of its private rooms to Art. And it does so with an absolute debut: an extraordinary exhibition dedicated to Gustav Klimt, open from September 26, 2026 to January 24, 2027.
Villa Freya, the historic residence of the great traveler and writer Freya Stark, where a timeless elegant atmosphere can be felt, is now ready to host its first exhibition dedicated to Gustav Klimt (1862–1918). The exhibition features a precious collection of collotypes, artistic prints of extraordinary definition, a refined selection from the magazine Ver Sacrum (1898–1903), and original drawings by the great artist of the Vienna Secession.
Born from the vision of Diego Carron and Monica Masin, the exhibition creates a deep dialogue between the place, the memory of Freya Stark, and the work of Gustav Klimt.
The Villa still preserves the reflection of the extraordinary English writer and traveler who lived there: a free spirit sensitive to the languages of the world. The connection with Klimt finds perfect coherence: both share a conception of art based on intellectual freedom, a privileged bond with the landscape, and the centrality of the female figure, understood as a generative and vital principle.
The exhibition route unites, in a single lively and stimulating dialogue, the elegant rooms of Villa Freya with the archaeological and botanical park.
The visitor will discover beauty expressed in art and nature, through a journey that begins inside the residence with Klimt's art graphics and continues in the English romantic garden, where the restored greenhouse houses some reproductions from Ver Sacrum and the centuries-old holm oaks coexist with the ruins of a Roman theater from the 1st century A.D.
The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the City of Asolo and the ticket offers reductions on entries to the monumental complex of the village.
Erstmals in seiner Geschichte öffnet die prächtige Villa Freya in Asolo die Türen ihrer privaten Räume für die Kunst. Und das mit einer absoluten Premiere: Eine außergewöhnliche Ausstellung zu Ehren von Gustav Klimt, die vom 26. September 2026 bis zum 24. Januar 2027 geöffnet ist.
Villa Freya, das historische Zuhause der großen Reisenden und Schriftstellerin Freya Stark, in der eine elegante, zeitlose Atmosphäre weht, ist heute bereit, ihre erste Ausstellung zu Ehren von Gustav Klimt (1862–1918) zu beherbergen. Die Ausstellung präsentiert eine w precious collection of collotypes, künstlerische Drucke von außergewöhnlicher Definition, eine raffiniertes Auswahl aus der Zeitschrift Ver Sacrum (1898–1903) und originale Zeichnungen des großen Künstlers der Wiener Secession.
Hervorgegangen aus dem Willen von Diego Carron und Monica Masin, schafft die Ausstellung einen tiefen Dialog zwischen dem Ort, dem Gedächtnis von Freya Stark und dem Werk von Gustav Klimt.
Die Villa bewahrt bis heute den Spiegel der außergewöhnlichen Schriftstellerin und Reisenden, die dort lebte: einen freien Geist, sensibel für die Sprachen der Welt. Die Verbindung zu Klimt findet eine perfekte Konsistenz: Beide teilen eine Auffassung von Kunst, die auf intellektueller Freiheit, einer privilegierten Verbindung zur Landschaft und der Zentralität der weiblichen Figur beruht, verstanden als generatives und vitales Prinzip.
Der Ausstellungsweg vereint in einem lebendigen und anregenden Dialog die eleganten Räume der Villa Freya mit dem archäologischen und botanischen Park.
Der Besucher wird die Schönheit, die sich in Kunst und Natur entfaltet, in einer Reise entdecken, die im Inneren des Anwesens mit den Kunstgrafiken von Klimt beginnt und im englischen romantischen Garten fortgesetzt wird, wo das restaurierte Gewächshaus einige Reproduktionen aus Ver Sacrum bewahrt und die jahrhundertealten Eichen mit den Ruinen eines römischen Theaters aus dem 1. Jh. n. Chr. zusammenleben.
Die Ausstellung wird in Zusammenarbeit mit der Stadt Asolo organisiert, und das Ticket gewährt Ermäßigungen für den Eintritt in den monumentalen Komplex des Dorfes.
