Scritta per lʼattore Benoît-Constant Coquelin tra il 1896 e il 1897 da Edmond Rostand, “Cyrano De Bergerac” rappresenta una delle opere tragiche in versi più famose del teatro mondiale, simbolo di una generazione francese e tappa obbligata per ogni attore che voglia mettersi alla prova con un testo di elevata difficoltà, ma di cui non si può assolutamente non restarne folgorati.
Una storia serrata, romantica, avventurosa, tenera e allo stesso tempo violenta, il cui adattamento si rifà a diverse traduzioni (Giobbe, Cuomo, Lionello, Bigliosi) con lʼaggiunta di nuove parti di testo per poter essere rappresentata in 4 attori, in una versione dal ritmo elevato.
Particolare attenzione è stata riservata come sempre ai costumi, per riportare il pubblico nella metà del XVII secolo francese, tra innamoramenti, battaglie e lame di spade.

Written for the actor Benoît-Constant Coquelin between 1896 and 1897 by Edmond Rostand, “Cyrano De Bergerac” represents one of the most famous tragic verse works in world theater, a symbol of a French generation and a must for any actor wanting to test themselves with a text of high difficulty, yet one that is utterly captivating.
A tightly woven story, romantic, adventurous, tender, and at the same time violent, whose adaptation refers to various translations (Giobbe, Cuomo, Lionello, Bigliosi) with the addition of new parts of text to be performed by 4 actors, in a version with a high rhythm.
Particular attention has been given, as always, to the costumes, to transport the audience back to the mid-17th century France, amidst romances, battles, and swordplay.

Geschrieben für den Schauspieler Benoît-Constant Coquelin zwischen 1896 und 1897 von Edmond Rostand, stellt “Cyrano De Bergerac” eines der bekanntesten tragischen Versepos des Welttheaters dar, Symbol einer französischen Generation und ein Muss für jeden Schauspieler, der sich mit einem Text von erheblichem Schwierigkeitsgrad auseinandersetzen will, von dem man einfach nicht unberührt bleiben kann.
Eine fesselnde, romantische, abenteuerliche, zarte und gleichzeitig gewalttätige Geschichte, deren Adaption sich auf verschiedene Übersetzungen (Giobbe, Cuomo, Lionello, Bigliosi) bezieht, mit der Hinzufügung neuer Textpassagen, um sie mit 4 Schauspielern in einer Version mit hohem Tempo aufführen zu können.
Wie immer wurde besonders auf die Kostüme geachtet, um das Publikum ins französische 17. Jahrhundert zu versetzen, zwischen Verliebungen, Kämpfen und Klingen von Schwertern.
