Nato in memoria di Luca "Rufus" Veronesi, il progetto è diventato negli anni un appuntamento di sport, musica e aggregazione capace di coinvolgere centinaia di giovani e famiglie del territorio.
Per due giorni il playground di Madonna del Popolo si trasformerà in uno spazio di community con:
- Torneo di Basket per ragazzi 3vs3
- Torneo di Basket per adulti 3vs3
- Torneo di Cornhole per tutti 2vs2
- Live Music e DJ Set
- Food & Drink area
Il purpose del progetto Rufus Street Contest non è solo un evento sportivo. L'intero progetto nasce con l'obiettivo di contribuire, anno dopo anno, alla riqualificazione del playground pubblico che ospita l'evento.
Il campo da basket comunale di Madonna del Popolo (Villafranca di Verona) versa oggi in condizioni fortemente deteriorate: pavimentazione danneggiata, canestri usurati e area da valorizzare.
L'intero ricavato dell'evento, al netto delle spese organizzative, verrà destinato alla raccolta fondi per il recupero completo del playground pubblico.
Partecipare significa quindi contribuire concretamente a restituire alla comunità uno spazio sportivo vivo, accessibile e nuovamente vissuto dai giovani del territorio.
- Torneo di Basket 3vs3: Il cuore storico del Rufus Street Contest, con il torneo dei ragazzi il sabato pomeriggio, ed il torneo dei più grandi diviso su due giorni. Il venerdì sera protagonista sarà la fase a gironi mentre il sabato sera si proseguirà con la fase ad eliminazione diretta e le finali.

Evento realizzato e promosso dall'Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica Òcio di Villafranca di Verona (VR) assieme all'Associazione "Rufus ODV - Amici di Rufus".
Birthed in memory of Luca "Rufus" Veronesi, the project has become over the years an appointment for sports, music, and community that engages hundreds of young people and families from the area.
For two days, the playground of Madonna del Popolo will transform into a community space with:
- Basketball Tournament for kids 3vs3
- Basketball Tournament for adults 3vs3
- Cornhole Tournament for everyone 2vs2
- Live Music and DJ Set
- Food & Drink area
The purpose of the Rufus Street Contest project is not just a sports event. The entire project was born with the aim of contributing, year after year, to the redevelopment of the public playground that hosts the event.
The municipal basketball court of Madonna del Popolo (Villafranca di Verona) is currently in severely deteriorated conditions: damaged flooring, worn out hoops, and an area to be enhanced.
The entire proceeds from the event, net of organizational expenses, will be allocated to the fundraising for the complete recovery of the public playground.
Participating means therefore concretely contributing to restoring to the community a lively, accessible sports space that is once again enjoyed by the local youth.
- 3vs3 Basketball Tournament: The historical heart of the Rufus Street Contest, with the kids’ tournament on Saturday afternoon, and the tournament for the older ones split over two days. On Friday evening, the group stage will be the focus while Saturday evening will continue with the knockout stage and finals.

Event realized and promoted by the Sports Association Òcio of Villafranca di Verona (VR) together with the Association "Rufus ODV - Friends of Rufus".
Geboren in Gedenken an Luca "Rufus" Veronesi, ist das Projekt im Laufe der Jahre zu einem Ereignis von Sport, Musik und Gemeinschaft geworden, das Hunderte von jungen Menschen und Familien aus der Region einbezieht.
Für zwei Tage wird der Spielplatz von Madonna del Popolo in einen Gemeinschaftsraum verwandelt mit:
- Basketballturnier für Jungen 3vs3
- Basketballturnier für Erwachsene 3vs3
- Cornhole-Turnier für alle 2vs2
- Live-Musik und DJ-Set
- Essen & Getränke Bereich
Das Ziel des Projekts Rufus Street Contest ist nicht nur eine sportliche Veranstaltung. Das gesamte Projekt wurde mit dem Ziel ins Leben gerufen, Jahr für Jahr zur Aufwertung des öffentlichen Spielplatzes beizutragen, der das Event beherbergt.
Das kommunale Basketballfeld von Madonna del Popolo (Villafranca di Verona) befindet sich heute in stark verschlechtertem Zustand: beschädigte Beläge, abgenutzte Körbe und ein zu würdigender Bereich.
Der gesamte Erlös der Veranstaltung, abzüglich der organisatorischen Kosten, wird für die Spendensammlung zur vollständigen Wiederherstellung des öffentlichen Spielplatzes verwendet.
Die Teilnahme bedeutet daher, konkret zur Wiederherstellung eines lebendigen, zugänglichen und wieder von den Jugendlichen der Region genutzten Sportraums beizutragen.
- Basketballturnier 3vs3: Das historische Herz des Rufus Street Contest, mit dem Turnier der Jungen am Samstagnachmittag und dem Turnier der Größeren, das auf zwei Tage verteilt ist. Am Freitagabend ist die Gruppenphase der Hauptakteur, während am Samstagabend die K.O.-Phase und die Finalspiele fortgesetzt werden.
