Nel 170° anniversario dell’inaugurazione del Museo Civico di Palazzo Chiericati, Vicenza celebra la propria tradizione di munificenza con una mostra dedicata alla recente donazione Colbacchini: un nucleo di 51 opere, comprendente perlopiù dipinti e disegni, di artisti veneziani e veneti attivi tra la seconda metà dell’Ottocento e i primi decenni del Novecento.
La collezione Colbacchini abbraccia perlopiù la stagione feconda della pittura lagunare e veneta in epoca postunitaria, connotata dalle istanze del realismo e del verismo, in dialogo con le più aggiornate proposte nazionali ed europee: dall’esperienza macchiaiola a quella della Scuola paesaggistica di Posillipo, passando per le rivoluzionarie novità francesi degli impressionisti e arrivando a lambire anche le atmosfere notturne del Simbolismo.
La mostra, che inaugura le rinnovate sale al piano terra del Museo Civico di Palazzo Chiericati destinate alle esposizioni temporanee, espone 40 opere della donazione, contestualmente a una selezione di disegni tratti dalla raccolta privata del donatore, con opere di Ippolito Caffi, Giacomo Favretto, Luigi Nono, Guglielmo Ciardi, Alessandro Milesi, Pietro Fragiacomo, Bartolomeo Bezzi, Noè Bordignon, Achille Beltrame, Cesare Laurenti, Federico Zandomeneghi, Ettore Tito, Mario De Maria e tanti altri artisti della feconda “stagione del vero” a Venezia e nel Veneto.

On the 170th anniversary of the inauguration of the Civic Museum of Palazzo Chiericati, Vicenza celebrates its tradition of generosity with an exhibition dedicated to the recent Colbacchini donation: a core of 51 works, mostly paintings and drawings, by Venetian and Veneto artists active between the second half of the nineteenth century and the early decades of the twentieth.
The Colbacchini collection largely encompasses the fertile season of lagoon and Veneto painting in the post-unitary era, characterized by the demands of realism and verism, in dialogue with the most contemporary national and European proposals: from the Macchiaioli experience to the Landscape School of Posillipo, through the revolutionary French innovations of the Impressionists, and even touching upon the nocturnal atmospheres of Symbolism.
The exhibition, which inaugurates the renewed rooms on the ground floor of the Civic Museum of Palazzo Chiericati designated for temporary exhibitions, features 40 works from the donation, along with a selection of drawings from the private collection of the donor, including works by Ippolito Caffi, Giacomo Favretto, Luigi Nono, Guglielmo Ciardi, Alessandro Milesi, Pietro Fragiacomo, Bartolomeo Bezzi, Noè Bordignon, Achille Beltrame, Cesare Laurenti, Federico Zandomeneghi, Ettore Tito, Mario De Maria, and many other artists from the fertile "season of truth" in Venice and Veneto.

Im 170. Jubiläum der Eröffnung des Museo Civico di Palazzo Chiericati feiert Vicenza seine Tradition der Großzügigkeit mit einer Ausstellung, die der kürzlichen Spende Colbacchini gewidmet ist: ein Kern von 51 Werken, überwiegend Gemälden und Zeichnungen, von venezianischen und venetischen Künstlern, die in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts und in den ersten Jahrzehnten des 20. Jahrhunderts tätig waren.
Die Sammlung Colbacchini umfasst überwiegend die fruchtbare Epoche der lagunaren und venetischen Malerei in der Nach-Unitätszeit, geprägt von den Strömungen des Realismus und Verismus, im Dialog mit den aktuellsten nationalen und europäischen Strömungen: von der Macchiaiola-Erfahrung über die Landschaftsschule von Posillipo bis hin zu den revolutionären französischen Neuerungen der Impressionisten und sogar zu den nächtlichen Atmosphären des Symbolismus.
Die Ausstellung, die die renovierten Räume im Erdgeschoss des Museo Civico di Palazzo Chiericati für vorübergehende Ausstellungen einweiht, zeigt 40 Werke aus der Spende, parallel zu einer Auswahl von Zeichnungen aus der privaten Sammlung des Spenders, mit Arbeiten von Ippolito Caffi, Giacomo Favretto, Luigi Nono, Guglielmo Ciardi, Alessandro Milesi, Pietro Fragiacomo, Bartolomeo Bezzi, Noè Bordignon, Achille Beltrame, Cesare Laurenti, Federico Zandomeneghi, Ettore Tito, Mario De Maria und vielen anderen Künstlern der fruchtbaren „Stunde der Wahrheit“ in Venedig und Venetien.
