Verona Jazz, che sin dagli anni Settanta è uno dei fiori all’occhiello dell’Estate Teatrale Veronese, propone un cartellone in grado di accontentare il grande pubblico e, al contempo, anche gli appassionati più esigenti.
L'edizione 2024 si aprirà il 21 giugno con il duo Paolo Fresu & Uri Caine, un fortunatissimo incontro tra due grandi personalità del jazz moderno. Fresu e Caine dimostrano come sia possibile rinnovare alcune tra le pagine più famose del jazz proponendo un evento musicale assolutamente da non perdere.
Il 22 giugno il protagonista della serata sarà Jan Garbarek con la sua band formata dal pianista e tastierista tedesco Rainer Brüninghaus e dal bassista brasiliano Yuri Daniel.
Per questa data saranno accompagnati da un ospite speciale: il percussionista indiano Trilok Gurtu.
Il 23 giugno sarà la serata di Ana Carla Maza, dei ritmi samba del Brasile e della melodia struggente del tango argentino.
La giovane cantante e violoncellista cubana, accompagnata dai suoi musicisti, propone il suo album Caribe.
Verona Jazz si conclude il 24 giugno con il concerto di Mario Biondi.
Il cantautore siciliano porta sul palco i brani dell'ultimo album ‘Crooning – the italian tour’ e i più grandi successi della sua carriera, arrangiati ad hoc per questo progetto live in cui i 18 musicisti d’orchestra si esibiranno senza amplificazione.
Verona Jazz, which has been one of the flagships of the Veronese Theater Summer since the 1970s, offers a program capable of satisfying the general public and, at the same time, even the most demanding enthusiasts.
The 2024 edition will open on June 21st with the duo Paolo Fresu & Uri Caine, a very fortunate meeting between two great personalities of modern jazz. Fresu and Caine demonstrate how it is possible to renew some of the most famous pages of jazz by proposing a musical event that is absolutely not to be missed.
On June 22nd the protagonist of the evening will be Jan Garbarek with his band formed by the German pianist and keyboardist Rainer Brüninghaus and the Brazilian bassist Yuri Daniel.
For this date they will be accompanied by a special guest: the Indian percussionist Trilok Gurtu.
The 23rd will be the evening of Ana Carla Maza, of the samba rhythms of Brazil and the poignant melody of Argentine tango.
The young Cuban singer and cellist, accompanied by her musicians, presents her album Caribe.
Verona Jazz ends on June 24th with Mario Biondi's concert.
The Sicilian singer-songwriter brings to the stage the songs from his latest album 'Crooning - the Italian tour' and the greatest hits of his career, arranged specifically for this live project in which the 18 orchestra musicians will perform without amplification.
