Il nuovo anno a Verona si festeggia con eleganza ed armonia. Sul palco del Teatro Nuovo infatti va in scena Giselle, il balletto classico romantico per eccellenza, nato dalla fantasia del grande scrittore Théophile Gautier. I ballerini di Théâtre Classique regaleranno al pubblico scaligero emozioni uniche, danzando sulle musiche di A. Adam e sulle coreografie di Jean Coralli.
Il balletto si compone in due atti, intrisi di atmosfere lunari, romantiche e talvolta stregate. La protagonista di questa storia d’amore è Giselle e la sua passione per Albrecht. Due ruoli paradigmatici del repertorio accademico: la Contadinella Giselle che muore di pazzia d'amore - nota è la splendida coreografia romantica della "scena della follia" in cui Giselle perde la testa dopo aver scoperto il tradimento del suo amante - e l'innamorato Albrecht, il principe che gioca con essa e la tradisce, per poi redimersi. Morte e leggenda fanno da cornice a questo magnifico balletto, impreziosito dalla presenza delle Willi, personaggi della tradizione popolare tedesca. Le coreografie e le musiche sono forti, catturano il pubblico fino a commuoverlo.
Il balletto Giselle ha debuttato per la prima volta a Parigi nel giugno del 1841. Il ruolo della protagonista fu affidato alla ballerina napoletana Carlotta Grisi; al suo fianco Lucien Petipa nei panni del principe Albrecht.

The ballet is composed of two acts, filled with lunar, romantic, and sometimes enchanted atmospheres. The protagonist of this love story is Giselle and her passion for Albrecht. Two paradigmatic roles of the academic repertoire: the peasant girl Giselle, who dies of love madness - well-known is the beautiful romantic choreography of the "mad scene" in which Giselle loses her mind after discovering her lover's betrayal - and the lover Albrecht, the prince who plays with her and betrays her, before redeeming himself. Death and legend frame this magnificent ballet, enriched by the presence of the Wilis, characters from German folklore. The choreography and music are powerful, capturing the audience and moving them to tears.
The ballet Giselle premiered for the first time in Paris in June 1841. The role of the protagonist was entrusted to the Neapolitan ballerina Carlotta Grisi; alongside her was Lucien Petipa as Prince Albrecht.

Das neue Jahr in Verona wird mit Eleganz und Harmonie gefeiert. Auf der Bühne des Teatro Nuovo wird nämlich Giselle, das klassisch-romantische Ballett par excellence, zur Aufführung gebracht, das aus der Fantasie des großen Schriftstellers Théophile Gautier entstanden ist. Die Tänzer von Théâtre Classique werden dem Publikum in Verona einzigartige Emotionen schenken, während sie zu den Klängen von A. Adam und den Choreografien von Jean Coralli tanzen.
Das Ballett besteht aus zwei Akten, durchdrungen von mondänen, romantischen und manchmal verzauberten Atmosphären. Die Protagonistin dieser Liebesgeschichte ist Giselle und ihre Leidenschaft für Albrecht. Zwei paradigmatische Rollen des akademischen Repertoires: das Landmädchen Giselle, das aus Wahnsinn aus Liebe stirbt – bekannt ist die wunderbare romantische Choreografie der "Wahnsinnsszene", in der Giselle den Verstand verliert, nachdem sie den Betrug ihres Liebhabers entdeckt hat – und der Geliebte Albrecht, der mit ihr spielt und sie betrügt, um sich dann zu erlösen. Tod und Legende bilden den Rahmen für dieses großartige Ballett, das durch die Anwesenheit der Willi, Figuren der deutschen Volkstradition, bereichert wird. Die Choreografien und die Musik sind kraftvoll und fesseln das Publikum bis zur Rührung.
