Verona festeggia il prestigioso traguardo della 76° edizione dell’Estate Teatrale Veronese, che conferma e suggella il connubio indissolubile tra musica, teatro e danza.
Dal 21 giugno al 20 settembre il Festival porterà a Verona ben 52 serate di spettacolo dal vivo, con 15 prime nazionali e 7 coproduzioni.
Ampio spazio sarà dedicato ai grandi allestimenti shakespeariani e classici, firmati da registi di fama mondiale.
Luoghi del Festival saranno la sede storica del Teatro Romano, il Bastione delle Maddalene, l'intero Quartiere di Veronetta e il Teatro Camploy.
La programmazione dedicata al teatro sarà suddivisa come di consueto in due sezioni, il Festival Shakespeariano, progetto fondante dell’Estate Teatrale Veronese e Settembre Classico, dedicato al teatro antico.
Anche la danza sarà nel segno di Shakespeare, con un cartellone che presenta storie e personaggi senza tempo e che avrà il suo fiore all’occhiello nel nuovo progetto coreografico di COB Compagnia Opus Ballet.
Nella sezione musicale, rappresentata da Verona Jazz e Rumors Festival, sono numerosi gli appuntamenti con il jazz, ma non mancherà una sezione speciale dedicata a sonorità diverse e sperimentali.
Intrecci di Programmazione apre invece a rassegne di altri organizzatori, caratterizzate da quattro linee di intervento principali: l’approfondimento culturale, la musica popolare, le nuove generazioni e l’immaginario shakespeariano calato nel contesto urbano della città di Verona.
Verona celebrates the prestigious milestone of the 76th edition of the Estate Teatrale Veronese (Veronese Theatrical Summer), which confirms and seals the indissoluble union between music, theater and dance.
From 21st June to 20th September the Festival will bring 52 evenings of live entertainment to Verona, with 15 national premieres and 7 co-productions. Ample space will be dedicated to the great Shakespearean and classical productions, signed by world-famous directors.
The venues of the Festival will be the historic site of the Roman Theatre, the Bastione delle Maddalene, the entire Veronetta district and the Camploy Theatre.
The programming dedicated to the theater will be divided as usual into two sections, the Shakespearian Festival, founding project of the Veronese Theatrical Summer and Settembre Classico, dedicated to ancient theatre.
Dance will also be in the name of Shakespeare, with a program that presents timeless stories and characters and which will have its flagship in the new choreographic project by COB Compagnia Opus Ballet.
In the music section, represented by Verona Jazz and Rumors Festival, there are numerous appointments with jazz, but there will also be a special section dedicated to different and experimental sounds.
Intrecci di Programmazione instead opens up to exhibitions by other organizers, characterized by four main lines of intervention: cultural in-depth analysis, popular music, new generations and Shakespearean imagery set in the urban context of the city of Verona.
