L'Arena di Verona ritorna nella veste di Verona Olympic Arena, sede per l'occasione della Cerimonia di Apertura dei Giochi Paralimpici Invernali di Milano Cortina 2026.
L'Anfiteatro romano, che sarà il primo monumento storico patrimonio dell’Umanità ad ospitare una cerimonia paralimpica, si illuminerà di storie di inclusione e passione, in un'immersione simbolica nella bellezza della città e in una celebrazione collettiva che unirà storia, cultura e valori sportivi.
Il titolo scelto per la Cerimonia è “Life in Motion”: un omaggio alla vita, intesa come cambiamento e trasformazione, che si ispira al linguaggio dell'arte e alla sua capacità unica di interpretare la realtà contemporanea in continua evoluzione. Un approccio che riscrive il modo di concepire la disabilità attraverso il raggiungimento di un'armonia nuova tra persona e ambiente.
Primi grandi ospiti annunciati per la cerimonia sono Stewart Copeland, leggendario batterista dei Police, e i Meduza, ambasciatori della musica house nel mondo. Ci sarà inoltre un omaggio all’arte dello scultore Jago; poi di Emilio Isgrò, reso celebre per le sue “cancellature”; e della triestina Marina Apollonio, tra le più celebri esponenti del movimento ottico-cinetico internazionale.
A lavorare alla Cerimonia di Apertura di Milano Cortina 2026 sarà la squadra di creativi guidata da Alfredo Accatino, Presidente di Filmmaster e firma di alcune tra le più importanti produzioni internazionali nel mondo degli eventi.

The Verona Arena returns as the Verona Olympic Arena, hosting the Opening Ceremony of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games on this occasion.
The Roman Amphitheater, which will be the first historical monument recognized as a World Heritage Site to host a Paralympic ceremony, will be illuminated with stories of inclusion and passion, in a symbolic immersion in the beauty of the city and a collective celebration uniting history, culture, and sporting values.
The title chosen for the Ceremony is “Life in Motion”: a tribute to life, understood as change and transformation, inspired by the language of art and its unique ability to interpret contemporary reality in continuous evolution. An approach that rewrites the way disability is conceived through the achievement of a new harmony between person and environment.
The first major guests announced for the ceremony are Stewart Copeland, legendary drummer of the band Police, and Meduza, ambassadors of house music worldwide. There will also be a tribute to the art of sculptor Jago; then to Emilio Isgrò, famous for his “erasure” works; and to the Triestine Marina Apollonio, one of the most renowned representatives of the international optical-kinetic movement.
Working on the Opening Ceremony of Milano Cortina 2026 will be a team of creatives led by Alfredo Accatino, President of Filmmaster and the mastermind behind some of the most important international productions in the events world.

Die Arena von Verona kehrt als Verona Olympic Arena zurück, die anlässlich der Eröffnungszeremonie der Paralympischen Winterspiele in Mailand Cortina 2026 gastgeben wird.
Das römische Amphitheater, das als erstes historische UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe eine paralympische Zeremonie ausrichten wird, wird in Geschichten von Inklusion und Leidenschaft erstrahlen, in einem symbolischen Eintauchen in die Schönheit der Stadt und in einer kollektiven Feier, die Geschichte, Kultur und sportliche Werte vereint.
Der gewählte Titel für die Zeremonie ist „Life in Motion“: eine Hommage an das Leben, verstanden als Veränderung und Transformation, inspiriert von der Sprache der Kunst und ihrer einzigartigen Fähigkeit, die immerwährende Realität zu interpretieren, die sich ständig weiterentwickelt. Ein Ansatz, der die Weise, wie wir Behinderung auffassen, neu definiert, durch das Erreichen einer neuen Harmonie zwischen Mensch und Umfeld.
Die ersten großen Gäste, die für die Zeremonie angekündigt wurden, sind Stewart Copeland, der legendäre Schlagzeuger der Police, und die Meduza, Botschafter der House-Musik in der Welt. Es wird zudem eine Hommage an die Kunst des Bildhauers Jago geben; dann an Emilio Isgrò, bekannt für seine „Streichungen“; und an die Triestinerin Marina Apollonio, die zu den bekanntesten Vertretern der internationalen optisch-kinetischen Bewegung gehört.
An der Eröffnungszeremonie von Mailand Cortina 2026 wird das Kreativteam unter der Leitung von Alfredo Accatino, Präsident von Filmmaster und verantwortlich für einige der bedeutendsten internationalen Produktionen im Eventbereich, arbeiten.
