Un’immersione totale nel mondo della fotografia attraverso un’offerta formativa di eccellenza: giunto ormai alla settima edizione e dedicato alla formazione fotografica, Vip 2026 accoglierà in laguna alcuni dei più grandi maestri della fotografia, pronti a guidare workshop tematici rivolti a professionisti, semi-professionisti e appassionati desiderosi di affinare le proprie competenze. Il programma di questa edizione prevede 14 workshop intensivi della durata di tre giorni, durante i quali i partecipanti potranno confrontarsi direttamente con fotografi di fama internazionale, approfondendo diverse discipline fotografiche e sperimentando nuove tecniche. I workshop spazieranno tra generi differenti, dal ritratto alla moda, dalla street photography al fotogiornalismo, e avranno come set naturale la splendida Venezia.
Tra i protagonisti di questa edizione: Jean Evelyn Atwood, Roger Ballen, Jean Christophe Bechet, Sam Dameshek, Antoine D’Agata & Tania Bohorquez, Armelle Gouyet, Pascal Maitre, Lia Mstislavskaya, Robbie Mcintosh, Stephan Rappo, Reza, Kourtney Roy, Paul Rousteau e una leggenda della fotografia mondiale come Steve McCurry che terranno workshop dedicati al ritratto, alla moda, alla street photography e al fotogiornalismo.
Evento speciale il giorno 10 aprile alle h.19 quando Roger Ballen, uno dei fotografi più influenti e importanti del XXI secolo e una carriera artistica lunga oltre cinquant'anni, terrà una conferenza aperta al pubblico dal titolo BALLENESQUE – Roger Ballen, a Retrospective. Roger Ballen è conosciuto in tutto il mondo per il suo uso unico e potente del disegno, della pittura e del collage, affiancati da varie tecniche scultoree in installazioni elaborate, che ha creato una nuova estetica ibrida, saldamente radicata nell'arte della fotografia.
Venezia Photo Festival nasce dalla collaborazione tra San Servolo Srl, società in house della Città Metropolitana di Venezia, e ADAP (Association pour la Diffusion de l'Art Photographique), in partnership con Campus Mana e in collaborazione con l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia. L’obiettivo della manifestazione è creare una grande community internazionale di professionisti e amatori, uniti dalla passione per la fotografia e dalla straordinaria atmosfera che Venezia e l’Isola di San Servolo sanno offrire.
Altra novità di quest’anno è Venezia Photo All Year, un nuovo programma di workshop fotografici che si svolgerà a Venezia durante tutto l'anno. Questi workshop sono pensati come format più concentrati e immersivi, e per gruppi molto ristretti. L'idea è quella di approfondire il processo creativo, con una formazione impegnativa che aiuti i partecipanti a sviluppare le proprie competenze, affinare la propria visione e consolidare la propria pratica fotografica. Come Venezia Photo Festival, i workshop si terranno tra San Servolo e la città di Venezia, offrendo un ambiente unico per l'apprendimento e la creazione, immersi tra cielo, acqua e architettura.

A total immersion in the world of photography through an excellent educational offer: now in its seventh edition and dedicated to photographic training, Vip 2026 will welcome to the lagoon some of the most great masters of photography, ready to lead thematic workshops aimed at professionals, semi-professionals, and enthusiasts eager to refine their skills. This edition's program includes 14 intensive workshops lasting three days, during which participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with world-renowned photographers, exploring various photographic disciplines and experimenting with new techniques. The workshops will cover different genres, from portrait to fashion, from street photography to photojournalism, and will have as a natural set the beautiful Venice.

Special event on April 10 at 7 PM when Roger Ballen, one of the most influential and important photographers of the 21st century with an artistic career spanning over fifty years, will hold a public conference entitled BALLENESQUE – Roger Ballen, a Retrospective. Roger Ballen is known worldwide for his unique and powerful use of drawing, painting, and collage, alongside various sculptural techniques in elaborate installations, which have created a new hybrid aesthetic, firmly rooted in the art of photography.
Venezia Photo Festival was born from the collaboration between San Servolo Srl, the in-house company of the Metropolitan City of Venice, and ADAP (Association pour la Diffusion de l'Art Photographique), in partnership with Campus Mana and in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice. The aim of the event is to create a large international community of professionals and amateurs, united by a passion for photography and by the extraordinary atmosphere that Venice and the Island of San Servolo can offer.
Another novelty this year is Venezia Photo All Year, a new program of photographic workshops that will take place in Venice throughout the year. These workshops are designed as more focused and immersive formats, and for very small groups. The idea is to deepen the creative process, with an intensive training that helps participants develop their skills, refine their vision, and consolidate their photographic practice. Like Venezia Photo Festival, the workshops will take place between San Servolo and the city of Venice, offering a unique environment for learning and creation, immersed among sky, water, and architecture.

Ein besonderes Event am 10. April um 19 Uhr, wenn Roger Ballen, einer der einflussreichsten und wichtigsten Fotografen des 21. Jahrhunderts mit einer künstlerischen Laufbahn von über fünfzig Jahren, eine öffentliche Vorlesung mit dem Titel BALLENESQUE – Roger Ballen, a Retrospective hält. Roger Ballen ist weltweit bekannt für seinen einzigartigen und kraftvollen Einsatz von Zeichnung, Malerei und Collage, ergänzt durch verschiedene skulpturale Techniken in aufwändigen Installationen, die eine neue hybride Ästhetik geschaffen haben, die fest in der Kunst der Fotografie verwurzelt ist.
Venezia Photo Festival entsteht aus der Zusammenarbeit zwischen San Servolo Srl, einer in-house Gesellschaft der Metropolregion Venedig, und ADAP (Association pour la Diffusion de l'Art Photographique), in Partnerschaft mit Campus Mana und in Zusammenarbeit mit der Akademie der Schönen Künste von Venedig. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, eine große internationale Community von Fachleuten und Amateuren zu schaffen, vereint durch die Leidenschaft für Fotografie und die außergewöhnliche Atmosphäre, die Venedig und die Insel San Servolo zu bieten wissen.
Eine weitere Neuheit in diesem Jahr ist Venezia Photo All Year, ein neues Programm von Fotoworkshops, die das ganze Jahr über in Venedig stattfinden werden. Diese Workshops sind als konzentriertere und intensivierte Formate gedacht, und zwar für sehr kleine Gruppen. Die Idee besteht darin, den kreativen Prozess zu vertiefen, mit einer anspruchsvollen Ausbildung, die den Teilnehmern hilft, ihre Fähigkeiten zu entwickeln, ihre Sichtweise zu verfeinern und ihre fotografische Praxis zu festigen.
