Questa stagione unisce la leggerezza della musica parigina della seconda metà dell’Ottocento e lo spirito tormentato del romanticismo per eccellenza.

Nel corso della stagione 2025-2026, il Palazzetto Bru Zane celebra due figure atipiche del XIX secolo che si possono considerare opposte e complementari: il cantante, librettista e compositore Hervé (di cui ricorre il bicentenario della nascita) e la pianista, editrice e compositrice Louise Farrenc (scomparsa 150 anni fa). Il primo si esprime soprattutto nel settore dell’opera lirica e comica; la seconda si dedica esclusivamente ai generi strumentali e seri. Hervé rimane costantemente ai margini delle istituzioni ufficiali, rincorrendo invano una programmazione all’Opéra-Comique che non ebbe mai luogo; Farrenc, invece, intraprende una carriera di docente al Conservatorio di Parigi, viene premiata due volte con il Prix Chartier per la sua musica da camera e vede le sue opere sinfoniche eseguite dalla Société des Concerts. Attraverso queste due personalità fuori dagli schemi, nel corso della stagione saranno esplorati due affascinanti capitoli della storia della musica romantica.
CICLO PARIGI ROMANTICA POP
Negli ultimi anni, il Palazzetto Bru Zane ha dedicato un’attenzione particolare a Hervé (1825-1892), con l’intento di ampliare le proprie ricerche scientifiche e proposte artistiche ai cosiddetti generi “leggeri”. Les Chevaliers de la Table ronde, Mam’zelle Nitouche, Le Compositeur toqué, Le Retour d’Ulysse, V’lan dans l’œil, Moldave et Circassienne: tutti questi lavori sono tornati in scena per far conoscere meglio l’umorismo unico di un autore spesso rimasto nell’ombra del suo contemporaneo e rivale Jacques Offenbach. Per celebrare il bicentenario della nascita di questo musicista prolifico e strampalato, il ciclo Parigi romantica pop lo colloca al centro di un movimento artistico che, dal Secondo Impero alla Belle Époque, ha puntato sull’assurdo e sulla follia per divertire un vasto pubblico.
FESTIVAL D’AUTUNNO A VENEZIA (7 concerti dal 27 settembre al 28 ottobre 2025)
In autunno, un’allegra programmazione viene incentrata sul compositore Hervé in occasione del bicentenario della sua nascita. Il festival Parigi romantica pop valorizza un repertorio popolare e atipico: valzer cantati, quartetti vocali, canto e chitarra, fisarmonica e violoncello, mandolino e pianoforte. L’operetta è inoltre rappresentata dai suoi echi nei salotti dell’epoca, su pianoforti a quattro mani.

CICLO IL TEMPO DI LOUISE FARRENC
Scomparsa 150 anni fa, Louise Farrenc (1804-1875) è la figura di una musicista unica nel suo genere. Proveniente per parte materna da una famiglia di pittori, riuscì a conquistarsi un posto in ambiti allora riservati agli uomini, come la composizione di opere sinfoniche. Ci ha lasciato un catalogo che comprende opere per pianoforte, musica da camera, ma soprattutto due ouverture e tre sinfonie, composte tra il 1834 e il 1847. Profondamente influenzata da Beethoven, contribuì al rinnovamento musicale parigino. This season brings together the lightness of Parisian music from the second half of the nineteenth century and the quintessential tortured spirit of Romanticism.

During the 2025-2026 season, Palazzetto Bru Zane celebrates two atypical figures of the 19th century who can be considered opposites and complements: the singer, librettist, and composer Hervé (whose bicentennial of birth is being commemorated) and the pianist, editor, and composer Louise Farrenc (who passed away 150 years ago). The former primarily expresses himself in the realm of opera and comic opera; the latter dedicates herself exclusively to instrumental and serious genres. Hervé remains consistently on the fringes of official institutions, unsuccessfully pursuing a program at the Opéra-Comique that never took place; Farrenc, on the other hand, embarks on a teaching career at the Conservatoire of Paris, is awarded the Prix Chartier twice for her chamber music, and sees her symphonic works performed by the Société des Concerts. Through these two unconventional personalities, the season will explore two fascinating chapters of the history of Romantic music.
CYCLE PARIS ROMANTIC POP
In recent years, Palazzetto Bru Zane has paid particular attention to Hervé (1825-1892), aiming to expand its scientific research and artistic proposals to so-called “light” genres. Les Chevaliers de la Table ronde, Mam’zelle Nitouche, Le Compositeur toqué, Le Retour d’Ulysse, V’lan dans l’œil, Moldave et Circassienne: all of these works have returned to the stage to better showcase the unique humor of an author often overshadowed by his contemporary and rival Jacques Offenbach. To celebrate the bicentennial of the birth of this prolific and quirky musician, the cycle Paris romantica pop places him at the center of an artistic movement that, from the Second Empire to the Belle Époque, focused on the absurd and madness to entertain a wide audience.
AUTUMN FESTIVAL IN VENICE (7 concerts from September 27 to October 28, 2025)
In autumn, a cheerful program centers on composer Hervé in commemoration of the bicentennial of his birth. The festival Paris romantica pop highlights a popular and atypical repertoire: sung waltzes, vocal quartets, singing and guitar, accordion and cello, mandolin and piano. The operetta is also represented by its echoes in the salons of the time, on four-hand pianos.

CYCLE THE TIME OF LOUISE FARRENC
Passed away 150 years ago, Louise Farrenc (1804-1875) is a unique figure among musicians. Coming from a family of painters on her mother's side, she managed to carve out a place in fields then reserved for men, such as composing symphonic works. She has left us a catalog that includes works for piano, chamber music, but above all two overtures and three symphonies composed between 1834 and 1847. Deeply influenced by Beethoven, she contributed to the musical renewal in Paris. Im Laufe der Saison 2025-2026 feiert das Palazzetto Bru Zane zwei atypische Figuren des 19. Jahrhunderts , die als gegensätzlich und ergänzend angesehen werden können: den Sänger, Librettisten und Komponisten Hervé (dessen 200. Geburtstag gefeiert wird) und die Pianistin, Verlegerin und Komponistin Louise Farrenc (die vor 150 Jahren verstorben ist). Der erste drückt sich hauptsächlich im Bereich der Oper und Komik aus; die zweite widmet sich ausschließlich den ernsten instrumentalen Gattungen. Hervé bleibt ständig an den Rändern der offiziellen Institutionen, vergeblich auf der Suche nach einem Programm am Opéra-Comique, das nie stattfand; Farrenc hingegen startet eine Lehrtätigkeit am Pariser Konservatorium, wird zweimal mit dem Prix Chartier für ihre Kammermusik ausgezeichnet und sieht ihre symphonischen Werke von der Société des Concerts aufgeführt. Durch diese beiden unkonventionellen Persönlichkeiten werden im Laufe der Saison zwei faszinierende Kapitel der Geschichte der romantischen Musik erkundet.

In den letzten Jahren hat das Palazzetto Bru Zane besonderes Augenmerk auf Hervé (1825-1892) gelegt, mit dem Ziel, seine wissenschaftlichen Recherchen und künstlerischen Angebote auf die sogenannten „leichten“ Gattungen auszuweiten. Les Chevaliers de la Table ronde, Mam’zelle Nitouche, Le Compositeur toqué, Le Retour d’Ulysse, V’lan dans l’œil, Moldave et Circassienne: all diese Werke werden neu aufgeführt, um den einzigartigen Humor eines Autors zu präsentieren, der oft im Schatten seines zeitgenössischen Rivalen Jacques Offenbach blieb. Um den 200. Geburtstag dieses produktiven und exzentrischen Musikers zu feiern, stellt der Zyklus Romantisches Paris Pop ihn ins Zentrum eines künstlerischen Bewegungs, der von der Zweiten Republik bis zur Belle Époque auf Absurdität und Wahnsinn setzte, um ein breites Publikum zu unterhalten.
HERBSTFESTIVAL IN VENEZIA (7 Konzerte vom 27. September bis 28. Oktober 2025)
Im Herbst steht ein fröhliches Programm im Mittelpunkt, das dem Komponisten Hervé anlässlich seines 200. Geburtstags gewidmet ist. Das Festival Romantisches Paris Pop betont ein populäres und atypisches Repertoire: gesungene Walzer, Vokalquartette, Gesang und Gitarre, Akkordeon und Cello, Mandoline und Klavier. Die Operette wird zudem in ihren Echos in den Salons der damaligen Zeit auf vierhändigen Klavieren dargestellt.

Vor 150 Jahren verstorben, ist Louise Farrenc (1804-1875) die Figur einer einzigartigen Musikerin. Sie stammt mütterlicherseits aus einer Malerfamilie und konnte sich in damals männlich dominierten Bereichen, wie der Komposition von Sinfoniewerken, einen Platz erobern.
