Dal 1° al 30 settembre 2026, la splendida cornice della Fondazione Giorgio Cini sull’Isola di San Giorgio Maggiore ospiterà la quarta edizione di Homo Faber 2026, la prestigiosa rassegna internazionale dedicata all’eccellenza dell’alto artigianato contemporaneo.
Il tema di quest’anno, “An Island of Light”, accompagna i visitatori in un affascinante viaggio sensoriale alla scoperta del profondo legame tra luce, materiali e mano artigiana. Curata dalla Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship e diretta artisticamente dalla celebre designer e artista britannica Es Devlin, l’edizione 2026 trasformerà gli storici spazi della Fondazione in un percorso immersivo fatto di installazioni spettacolari, riflessi, movimento e creatività.
Ispirandosi all’arcipelago della laguna veneziana, Es Devlin ha ideato una narrazione capace di unire centinaia di maestri artigiani provenienti da tutto il mondo: ogni artista diventa un’isola di talento all’interno di un grande universo fatto di sapere, tradizione e innovazione. Attraverso l’utilizzo della luce, dell’acqua, degli specchi e di scenografie dinamiche, il percorso espositivo mette in risalto il lavoro degli artigiani, i loro laboratori, gli strumenti e i materiali che danno vita a creazioni uniche.
Il pubblico potrà vivere un’esperienza coinvolgente tra 15 installazioni immersive, dimostrazioni dal vivo, workshop partecipativi, percorsi guidati ed esperienze gastronomiche, entrando in contatto diretto con il mondo dell’artigianato d’eccellenza e con le storie dei suoi protagonisti.

From September 1st to 30th 2026, the stunning setting of the Fondazione Giorgio Cini on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore will host the fourth edition of Homo Faber 2026, the prestigious international exhibition dedicated to excellence in contemporary craftsmanship.
This year’s theme, “An Island of Light”, invites visitors on a fascinating sensory journey exploring the profound relationship between light, materials, and the human hand. Curated by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship and artistically directed by renowned British artist and designer Es Devlin, the 2026 edition will transform the Foundation’s historic spaces into an immersive experience of spectacular installations, reflections, movement, and creativity.
