Nella seconda metà del XIX secolo, benché i compositori francesi si dedichino sempre più alla produzione di un repertorio cameristico, la forma lirica resta più che mai il principale tipo di espressione musicale del paese; è al contempo il genere più popolare e l’unico che garantisca il riconoscimento istituzionale. Dalla cantata da concorso al grand opéra, passando per la scena lirica da salotto e l’opéra-comique, la pluralità dei generi favorisce un continuo fiorire di idee e un costante rinnovamento della scrittura vocale. Un quartetto di solisti d’eccezione ci invita a scoprire questa ricchezza, interpretando brani di opere di Clémence de Grandval e di compositori suoi contemporanei.

In the second half of the 19th century, although French composers increasingly dedicate themselves to producing a chamber repertoire, the lyrical form remains more than ever the main type of musical expression in the country; it is at the same time the most popular genre and the only one that guarantees institutional recognition. From the contest cantata to the grand opéra, passing through the parlor lyrical scene and the opéra-comique, the plurality of genres fosters a continuous flowering of ideas and a constant renewal of vocal writing. An exceptional quartet of soloists invites us to discover this richness by performing pieces from the works of Clémence de Grandval and her contemporary composers.

In der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts, obwohl sich französische Komponisten zunehmend der Produktion eines kammermusikalischen Repertoires widmen, bleibt die lyrische Form mehr denn je der Haupttyp musikalischen Ausdrucks im Land; sie ist gleichzeitig das beliebteste Genre und das einzige, das institutionelle Anerkennung garantiert. Von der Wettbewerbs-Kantate bis zur grand opéra, über die Salon-Liedszenen und die opéra-comique, fördert die Pluralität der Genres ein kontinuierliches Blühen von Ideen und eine ständige Erneuerung des vokalen Schaffens. Ein Quartet aus außergewöhnlichen Solisten lädt uns ein, diesen Reichtum zu entdecken, indem sie Werke von Clémence de Grandval und zeitgenössischen Komponisten interpretieren.
