“È sempre una bella stagione” è la Stagione di Musica da Camera e Sinfonica di Mestre organizzata dall’Associazione Amici della Musica di Mestre, in sinergia con il Settore Cultura del Comune di Venezia, presso il Teatro Toniolo.

Una maratona musicale con sei pianisti di prestigio che si alterneranno sul palco del Toniolo, lunedì 15 dicembre alle 19.30, per offrire al pubblico l’esecuzione integrale del monumentale ciclo dei “Preludi e Fughe opera 87”, composto tra il 1950 e il 1951 da Dmitrij Šostakóvič. Il concerto “6×4=24”, vale a dire sei interpreti per quattro “Preludi e Fughe” ciascuno, diventa così un progetto che trasforma la matematica del titolo in un gesto di collaborazione artistica e di profonda dedizione interpretativa. “L’originalità dell'evento, promosso dalla nostra associazione con il sostegno della regione Veneto – spiega il presidente dell’associazione “Amici della musica di Mestre”, Mauro Pizzigati - risiede nella scelta di affidare l’opera 87 a sei voci pianistiche, quelle di Maria Grazia Bellocchio, Muriel Chemin, Maria Perrotta, Pietro Rigacci, Roberto Russo e Massimo Somenzi, ciascuna portatrice di una propria sensibilità interpretativa. L’avvicendarsi dei pianisti sul palco non frammenta l’ascolto, ma crea piuttosto un mosaico ricco di sfumature, nel quale ogni artista contribuisce a una lettura ampia e condivisa dell’opera”. A cinquant’anni dalla scomparsa del compositore, questa serata vuole essere non solo un omaggio, ma anche un invito alla riscoperta di un’opera che rappresenta uno dei più avvincenti cicli pianistici del novecento. La genesi dei “Preludi e Fughe” è legata a un episodio quasi leggendario: nel 1950 Šostakóvič si trovava a Lipsia come membro della giuria del concorso Bach, dove rimase profondamente colpito dall’esecuzione del “Clavicembalo ben temperato” da parte della giovane pianista Tatiana Nikolaeva. Tornato a Mosca, iniziò a comporre il ciclo dopo appena tre giorni: un impulso creativo irresistibile che lo portò, nel giro di pochi mesi, a completare una delle opere più vaste della letteratura per pianoforte. La serata sarà preceduta, alle 17.30 nel foyer del teatro, da una guida all’ascolto con prolusione di Massimo Somenzi, volta a introdurre il pubblico ai contenuti storici e musicali dell’opera in concerto. A musical marathon featuring six prestigious pianists who will take turns on the stage of Toniolo on Monday, December 15 at 7:30 PM, offering the audience the complete performance of the monumental cycle of “Preludes and Fugues Op. 87,” composed between 1950 and 1951 by Dmitri Shostakovich. The concert “6×4=24,” meaning six interpreters for four “Preludes and Fugues” each, thus becomes a project that transforms the title's mathematics into an act of artistic collaboration and deep interpretative dedication. “The originality of the event, promoted by our association with the support of the Veneto region – explains the president of the ‘Friends of Music of Mestre’ association, Mauro Pizzigati - lies in the choice to entrust Op. 87 to six pianistic voices, those of Maria Grazia Bellocchio, Muriel Chemin, Maria Perrotta, Pietro Rigacci, Roberto Russo, and Massimo Somenzi, each bringing their own interpretative sensitivity. The succession of pianists on stage does not fragment the listening experience but rather creates a mosaic rich in nuances, where each artist contributes to a broad and shared interpretation of the work.” Fifty years after the composer’s passing, this evening aims to be not only a tribute but also an invitation to rediscover a work that represents one of the most captivating pianistic cycles of the twentieth century. The genesis of the “Preludes and Fugues” is linked to an almost legendary episode: in 1950 Shostakovich was in Leipzig as a member of the jury for the Bach competition, where he was profoundly impressed by the performance of the “Well-Tempered Clavier” by the young pianist Tatiana Nikolaeva. Upon returning to Moscow, he began composing the cycle after just three days: an irresistible creative impulse that led him, within a few months, to complete one of the largest works in the piano repertoire. The evening will be preceded, at 5:30 PM in the theatre foyer, by a listening guide with an introduction by Massimo Somenzi, aimed at introducing the audience to the historical and musical contents of the work in the concert. Ein musikalisches Marathon mit sechs renommierten Pianisten, die sich abwechseln werden auf der Bühne des Toniolo, am Montag, den 15. Dezember um 19.30 Uhr, um dem Publikum die vollständige Aufführung des monumentalen Zyklus der “Präludien und Fugen opus 87” zu bieten, der zwischen 1950 und 1951 von Dmitrij Šostakóvič komponiert wurde. Das Konzert “6×4=24”, nämlich sechs Interpreten für jeweils vier “Präludien und Fugen”, wird somit zu einem Projekt, das die Mathematik des Titels in einen Geste kollaborativer Kunst und tief emotionaler Interpretation verwandelt. “Die Originalität der Veranstaltung, die von unserem Verein mit Unterstützung der Region Venetien gefördert wird – erklärt der Präsident des Vereins “Amici della musica di Mestre”, Mauro Pizzigati - liegt in der Entscheidung, das opus 87 sechs pianistischen Stimmen anzuvertrauen, nämlich Maria Grazia Bellocchio, Muriel Chemin, Maria Perrotta, Pietro Rigacci, Roberto Russo und Massimo Somenzi, wobei jede Stimme eine eigene interpretative Sensibilität einbringt. Der Wechsel der Pianisten auf der Bühne fragmentiert das Hören nicht, sondern schafft vielmehr ein reichhaltiges Mosaik aus Nuancen, in das jeder Künstler zu einer breiten und gemeinschaftlichen Lesart des Werkes beiträgt.” Fünfzig Jahre nach dem Tod des Komponisten soll dieser Abend nicht nur eine Hommage, sondern auch eine Einladung zur Wiederentdeckung eines Werkes sein, das einen der fesselndsten Klavierzyklen des 20. Jahrhunderts darstellt. Die Genese der “Präludien und Fugen” ist mit einem beinahe legendären Ereignis verbunden: Im Jahr 1950 war Šostakóvič in Leipzig als Mitglied der Jury des Bach-Wettbewerbs, wo er tief beeindruckt war von der Aufführung des “Wohltemperierten Klaviers” durch die junge Pianistin Tatiana Nikolaeva. Zurück in Moskau begann er nach nur drei Tagen mit dem Komponieren des Zyklus: ein unwiderstehlicher kreativer Impuls, der ihn innerhalb weniger Monate dazu brachte, eines der umfangreichsten Werke der Klavierliteratur zu vervollständigen. Der Abend wird um 17.30 Uhr im Foyer des Theaters von einer Hörführung mit Einführung von Massimo Somenzi eingeleitet, die darauf abzielt, das Publikum in die historischen und musikalischen Inhalte des Werkes im Konzert einzuführen.
