A dieci anni dalla scomparsa di Simon Benetton, il Museo a lui dedicato propone “Il Grande Fuoco di Simon Benetton”, una serata che intreccia arte, memoria e performance nel giorno in cui l’artista avrebbe compiuto 93 anni.
L’appuntamento prende avvio alle ore 17.00 con l’inaugurazione della mostra “Segni di Fuoco”, dedicata a una serie di opere realizzate nel 2012 su pannelli di legno e acrilico, lavorati direttamente dall’artista attraverso la fiamma. Ad accompagnare l’esposizione sono alcuni video inediti che mostrano Simon Benetton al lavoro, restituendo il rapporto tra gesto, materia e trasformazione che caratterizzava la sua ricerca. Segue un intervento critico del professor Gian Domenico Mazzocato.
Alle ore 18.00 il programma prosegue nel Parco delle Macrosculture con una performance di musica, danza e fuoco: la performance live Ferro Sonante di Marco Fedalto, gli artisti di D&P Drums and Percussion, i ballerini di Evento Danza e il fire performer Davide Ciani della Compagnia CircoVolante costruiscono un dialogo tra ritmo, movimento e fiamma, richiamando idealmente l’atmosfera dell’officina e della ricerca del Maestro.
Ten years after the passing of Simon Benetton, the museum dedicated to him presents “The Great Fire of Simon Benetton”, an evening that intertwines art, memory, and performance on the day the artist would have turned 93 years old.
The event starts at 5.00 p.m. with the inauguration of the exhibition “Signs of Fire”, dedicated to a series of works created in 2012 on wooden panels and acrylic, crafted directly by the artist through flame. Accompanying the exhibition are some unreleased videos that show Simon Benetton at work, reflecting the relationship between gesture, material, and transformation that characterized his research. There follows a critical intervention by Professor Gian Domenico Mazzocato.
At 6.00 p.m., the program continues in the Park of Macroscultures with a performance of music, dance, and fire: the live performance Ferro Sonante by Marco Fedalto, the artists from D&P Drums and Percussion, the dancers from Evento Danza, and the fire performer Davide Ciani from the Compagnia CircoVolante create a dialogue between rhythm, movement, and flame, ideally evoking the atmosphere of the workshop and the master's research.
Zehn Jahre nach dem Tod von Simon Benetton präsentiert das ihm gewidmete Museum “Das Große Feuer von Simon Benetton”, einen Abend, der Kunst, Erinnerung und Performance an dem Tag verknüpft, an dem der Künstler 93 Jahre alt geworden wäre.
Die Veranstaltung beginnt um 17.00 Uhr mit der Eröffnung der Ausstellung “Zeichen des Feuers”, die einer Reihe von Werken gewidmet ist, die 2012 auf Holz- und Acrylplatten entstanden sind und direkt vom Künstler durch die Flamme bearbeitet wurden. Begleitend zur Ausstellung sind einige unveröffentlichte Videos zu sehen, die Simon Benetton bei der Arbeit zeigen und das Verhältnis von Geste, Materie und Transformation, das seine Suche prägte, wiedergeben. Es folgt ein kritischer Beitrag von Professor Gian Domenico Mazzocato.
Um 18.00 Uhr setzt das Programm im Park der Makroskulpturen mit einer Performance aus Musik, Tanz und Feuer fort: Die Live-Performance Ferro Sonante von Marco Fedalto, die Künstler von D&P Drums and Percussion, die Tänzer von Evento Danza und der Feuerperformer Davide Ciani von der Compagnia CircoVolante schaffen einen Dialog zwischen Rhythmus, Bewegung und Flamme und rufen idealerweise die Atmosphäre der Werkstatt und der Forschung des Meisters auf.
