L'Amministrazione comunale di Terrazzo, nell'ambito dell'iniziativa "RetEventi Cultura Veneto - La Provincia di Verona per la cultura - anno 2025" - proposta denominata Cultura Storica Veronese", propone LO SPETTACOLO della COMPAGNIA TEATRALE "LA GRATICCIA" dal titolo "IL PALIO DI VERONA" che si terrà DOMENICA 7 SETTEMBRE 2025 ALLE ORE 21:00 PRESSO IL PIAZZALE DEGLI ALPINI.
Tratto dal libro di Marino Zampieri “Il Palio, il porco e il gallo – la corsa e il rito del ‘drappo verde’ fra Duecento e Settecento”, il testo ripropone l’atmosfera festosa di un evento – Il Palio di Verona – che ha caratterizzato profondamente la vita veronese nei secoli trascorsi, ripetendosi annualmente dal 200 al 700, con una straordinaria partecipazione popolare e un’ampia risonanza storica e letteraria. Proprio come a Siena, anche a Verona si correvano gare con uomini, donne e animali. Per mesi la città si preparava alla prima domenica di Quaresima, giorno dell'evento e pretesto per dare sfogo a travestimenti, lazzi e giochi, con la sana consapevolezza di essere "veronesi tuti mati". Lo spettacolo vuole essere uno spaccato sociale della vita di un tempo in un percorso attraverso i secoli, dove narrazione e rievocazione storica si alternano. E come nella migliore tradizione del grande teatro popolare, umorismo, disincanto e leggerezza si fondono, svelando personaggi, sogni e debolezze della nostra bella Verona.
Based on the book by Marino Zampieri, "The Palio, the Pig, and the Rooster - The Race and the Rite of the 'Green Banner' between the 13th and 18th Centuries," the text evokes the festive atmosphere of an event – the Palio of Verona – that profoundly shaped Veronese life over the centuries, recurring annually from the 13th to the 18th century, with extraordinary popular participation and wide historical and literary resonance. Just like in Siena, Verona also hosted races with Men, women, and animals. For months, the city prepared for the first Sunday of Lent, the day of the event and an excuse to unleash costumes, jokes, and games, with the healthy awareness of being "Veronese, all mad." The show aims to offer a social snapshot of life in the past, journeying through the centuries, where narration and historical reenactment alternate. And in the best tradition of great popular theater, humor, disenchantment, and lightheartedness blend together, revealing the characters, dreams, and weaknesses of our beautiful Verona.
Die Gemeindeverwaltung von Terrazzo präsentiert im Rahmen der Initiative „RetEventi Cultura Veneto – Die Provinz Verona für Kultur – 2025“ – einem Vorschlag mit dem Titel „Veronesische historische Kultur“ – die Aufführung „DER PALIO VON VERONA“ der THEATERKOLLEKTION „LA GRATICCIA“ am SONNTAG, DEN 7. SEPTEMBER 2025, UM 21:00 UHR AUF DER PIAZZALE DEGLI ALPINI.
Basierend auf dem Buch von Marino Zampieri „Der Palio, das Schwein und der Hahn – Das Rennen und der Ritus des ‚Grünen Banners‘ zwischen dem 13. und 18. Jahrhundert“ beschwört der Text die festliche Atmosphäre eines Ereignisses – des Palio von Verona – herauf, das das Leben der Veroneser über die Jahrhunderte hinweg nachhaltig geprägt hat. Es fand jährlich vom 13. bis zum 18. Jahrhundert statt und erfreute sich einer außergewöhnlichen Beteiligung der Bevölkerung sowie einer großen historischen und literarischen Resonanz. Wie in Siena fanden auch in Verona Wettkämpfe mit Männern, Frauen und Tieren statt. Monatelang bereitete sich die Stadt auf den ersten Fastensonntag vor, den Tag des Ereignisses und Anlass, Kostüme, Witze und Spiele zu präsentieren – im gesunden Bewusstsein, ein „verrückter Veroneser“ zu sein. Die Show bietet eine gesellschaftliche Momentaufnahme des Lebens in der Vergangenheit und führt durch die Jahrhunderte, wobei sich Erzählung und historische Nachstellung abwechseln. Und in der besten Tradition des großen Volkstheaters vermischen sich Humor, Ernüchterung und Unbeschwertheit und enthüllen die Charaktere, Träume und Schwächen unseres schönen Verona.
