Teatro per casa 2026

Teatrali

Descrizione

Thanks to “Theater for Home”, this autumn acting becomes the magical key to open four historic residences in Polesine. The seventh edition of the traveling festival promoted by the Province of Rovigo and curated by the Italian Federation of Theater and Arts – FITA, Provincial Committee of Rovigo, continues its aim to promote, through live performance, evocative places in the area that are usually not accessible to visitors. Villas, rural estates, and palaces that for a few hours will transform into stages, on which four theater companies will perform representations inspired by tradition. The initiative, realized within the framework of the agreement “RetEventi Cultura Veneto 2026” between the Veneto Region and the Province of Rovigo, with the contribution of the Cariparo Foundation, has garnered increasing consensus over the years, confirming the winning nature of a formula that combines the appreciation of amateur theater with the rediscovery of environments rich in charm and history.

Four appointments are scheduled. It starts on Sunday October 18 at 4:00 p.m. from Casa dell’Alma, in Polesella, a historic residence from 1851 now restored and converted into a hospitality structure. The house retains the character of rural tradition, enriched by contemporary elements, and is distinguished by its suggestive lemon house and large tree-filled garden. Inside, the company “I Ruscoletti” from Canda will present “Casanova's Desire”, a play for two actors accompanied by Venetian music. The show offers a portrait different from the traditional myth of Casanova: not the seducer and conqueror, but a man fascinated by the feminine universe and the fragility of desire. A reflection on relationships, the condition of women, and the mystery that connects human beings.

On Sunday October 25 at 4:00 p.m., “Theater for Home” will lead to the rediscovery of Villa Giglioli, in Ficarolo, built at the end of the sixteenth century by the Ferrarese family Arienti and donated to the Municipality in 1921. Inspired by Estense military architecture, the villa will host, among stuccoes and columns, the show “I Married You for Joy” by Natalia Ginzburg, performed by the company “Proposta teatro collettivo” from Arquà Polesine. Set in the 1960s, the comedy tells the relationship between Pietro, a serious and habitual lawyer, and Giuliana, eccentric and unconventional. Grotesque situations and misunderstandings reveal the contrasts of couple life and the bourgeois family.

The third appointment is scheduled for Sunday November 8 at 4:00 p.m. at Tenuta Venezze, in San Martino di Venezze, in the district of Beverare. The rural complex, dating back to the late eighteenth century, includes a farmhouse, barn, stable, and ancient lodgings for workers. The estate, now the heart of the Le Coronelle agricultural company, will welcome the public to attend “Like Spring in November”, an engaging musical-theatrical performance proposed by the company “Essenze teatrali” from Rovigo. A journey through the diverse nuances of the female world, addressing stereotypes, discrimination, and gender violence, entrusting theater and music with a message of awareness and change.

The festival concludes on Sunday November 15 at 4:00 p.m. at the Melara Cultural Center, housed in the ancient Casa Pastorelli, a country villa whose existence is documented as early as the Carafa land registry of 1777. Recently purchased and renovated by the Municipality of Melara, it has now become a venue for [...]
