Presentazione del volume Un viaggio tra storia, tradizioni e cultura gastronomica (Carocci, Roma 2026)
Terzo appuntamento della rassegna “I Venerdì di Luglio nel Borgo 2026”, promossa dal gruppo spontaneo "amareSTRamare" in collaborazione con il Gruppo Alpini di Segusino.
La serata propone un percorso attraverso la storia dell’alimentazione nelle Venezie, dal tardo Medioevo fino all’età contemporanea, mettendo in luce l’evoluzione delle pratiche alimentari, delle tradizioni conviviali e delle culture del cibo che hanno contribuito a definire l’identità del territorio.
Il racconto attraversa banchetti aristocratici, mense monastiche e tradizioni contadine, fino alla formazione di una vera e propria cucina regionale. Dalla polenta, elemento cardine della dieta rurale, al baccalà alla vicentina, dal tiramisù fino al Prosecco, il cibo viene analizzato come fattore culturale e sociale, capace di costruire identità, memoria e forme di aggregazione che arrivano fino alle pratiche contemporanee delle sagre e delle comunità locali.
L’incontro prende avvio dal volume "Un viaggio tra storia, tradizioni e cultura gastronomica" e vede la partecipazione dell’autore Danilo Gasparini, storico dell’agricoltura e dell’alimentazione, insieme a Edoardo Pittalis, giornalista e scrittore, firma storica de Il Gazzettino e attento conoscitore della realtà veneta.

Presentation of the volume A journey through history, traditions, and culinary culture (Carocci, Rome 2026)
Third event of the series “Fridays in July in the Village 2026,” promoted by the spontaneous group "amareSTRamare" in collaboration with the Alpini Group of Segusino.
The evening offers a journey through the history of food in the Veneto, from the late Middle Ages to the contemporary age, highlighting the evolution of food practices, convivial traditions, and food cultures that have helped define the identity of the territory.
The narrative traverses aristocratic banquets, monastic tables, and peasant traditions, leading to the formation of a true regional cuisine. From polenta, a cornerstone of the rural diet, to baccalà alla vicentina, from tiramisù to Prosecco, food is analyzed as a cultural and social factor capable of building identity, memory, and forms of aggregation that extend to contemporary practices of festivals and local communities.
The meeting begins with the volume "A journey through history, traditions, and culinary culture" and features the participation of the author Danilo Gasparini, historian of agriculture and food, along with Edoardo Pittalis, journalist and author, a longtime contributor to Il Gazzettino and a keen observer of the Veneto reality.

Dritte Veranstaltung der Reihe “Die Freitage im Dorf 2026”, initiiert von der spontanen Gruppe "amareSTRamare" in Zusammenarbeit mit der Gruppe der Alpenverein Segusino.
Der Abend bietet einen Weg durch die Geschichte der Ernährung in Venetien, vom Spätmittelalter bis zur Gegenwart, und beleuchtet die Entwicklung der Essgewohnheiten, der gemeinschaftlichen Traditionen und der Esskulturen, die zur Definition der Identität des Territoriums beigetragen haben.
Die Erzählung umfasst aristokratische Bankette, klösterliche Tischgemeinschaften und bäuerliche Traditionen, bis hin zur Entstehung einer echten regionalen Küche. Von der Polenta, dem zentralen Element der ländlichen Ernährung, über den Stockfisch nach Vicenza, vom Tiramisù bis zum Prosecco wird das Essen als kultureller und sozialer Faktor analysiert, der Identität, Gedächtnis und Formen der Gemeinschaft schafft, die bis zu den zeitgenössischen Praktiken der Feste und der lokalen Gemeinschaften reichen.
Die Veranstaltung beginnt mit dem Band "Eine Reise durch Geschichte, Traditionen und gastronomische Kultur" und sieht die Teilnahme des Autors Danilo Gasparini, Historiker der Landwirtschaft und Ernährung, zusammen mit Edoardo Pittalis, Journalist und Schriftsteller, langjähriger Kolumnist von Il Gazzettino und aufmerksamer Kenner der venetischen Realität.
