Guido Contin detto Cognac abita in un casello dismesso della vecchia ferrovia adagiata tra i boschi del Cadore insieme a Moglie, la sua gatta. E' anziano e non possiede più nulla se non una cartelletta piena di lettere indirizzate alle cime delle montagne e respinte al mittente. Sono pagine scritte a mano da un uomo che si firma con il nome di Onesto e racconta la sua vita con il fratello gemello Santo, l'incontro con Celeste, la guerra, la morte e l'amore.

Guido Contin known as Cognac lives in an abandoned railway station nestled among the woods of Cadore with his Wife, his cat. He is elderly and owns nothing but a folder full of letters addressed to the mountain peaks and returned to sender. These are handwritten pages by a man who signs himself as Onesto and recounts his life with his twin brother Santo, his encounter with Celeste, war, death, and love.

"Onesto" verlegt von Bompiani zusammen mit dem kürzlich erschienenen "' " (Bompiani 2025) - Moderation: die Journalistin Nicoletta Masetto.
Guido Contin, genannt Cognac, lebt in einem stillgelegten Bahnhof der alten Eisenbahn, die zwischen den Wäldern von Cadore liegt, zusammen mit seiner Frau, seiner Katze. Er ist alt und besitzt nichts mehr außer einer Mappe voller Briefe, die an die Gipfel der Berge adressiert sind und an den Absender zurückgeschickt wurden. Es sind handgeschriebene Seiten eines Mannes, der sich mit dem Namen Onesto unterschreibt und sein Leben mit seinem Zwillingsbruder Santo, die Begegnung mit Celeste, den Krieg, den Tod und die Liebe erzählt.
