The catalytic element and protagonist of the theatrical and musical piece hosted on October 16 in San Zenone degli Ezzelini is the piano on which Richard Wagner (1813-1883) died.
After an initial introduction by Prof. Vittorio Caracuta, the show unfolds in poetic narrations by Franco Berton, accompanied by music from Wagner and Liszt performed by M° Riccardo Favero on the Pleyel piano on which Wagner died.
Additionally, the dance of ballerina Arianna Ongarato will provide a backdrop. The performance begins with Wagner's death. The narrating voice is that of the piano on which the musician exhaled his last breath.
Alternating between poetic words and music, the creative power of art and the themes dear to Wagner take shape, culminating in the exaltation of Yggdrasil, the sacred ash tree of Norse culture that inspires the runes and thus also the musical notes.
