Duo stellare quello composto da Sarah Jane Morris e dal sassofonista Gianni Vancini.
L’amicizia pluriennale si è consolidata qualche anno fa anche grazie alla partecipazione di Sarah Jane Morris nell’ultimo progetto discografico di Gianni Vancini “Made in Italy” in cui il duo ripropone una splendida versione di “Missing You”, versione inglese di “Se stiamo insieme”, storico brano vincitore del Festival di Sanremo che Sarah presentò in coppia con Riccardo Cocciante.
Un scaletta piena di ritmo e di cuore composta da classici del repertorio di Sarah come “Love me like you used to” e “Me and Mrs Jones”, da alcuni dei brani più famosi della musica leggera italiana rivisitati in chiave Contemporary Jazz.

Sarah Jane Morris: icona del Jazz moderno, diventata famosa per la sua collaborazione con i Communards a metà degli anni ’80 e famigerata per una versione poi censurata del classico “Me and Mrs Jones” , Sarah Jane Morris ha sempre attratto l’attenzione su di se sia per il suo impegno civile che per la sua voce dalle radici soul e forte come un’onda sismica.
I più grandi successi, oltre che in Gran Bretagna, li ha ottenuti i Giappone, in Germania, Grecia e Italia, dove è stata premiata con la chiave della città di Verona, onorata con un Grammy Europeo e dove a vinto il Festival di Saremo nel 1991.

The long-standing friendship was solidified a few years ago also thanks to Sarah Jane Morris's participation in Gianni Vancini's latest music project “Made in Italy” in which the duo offers a beautiful version of “Missing You”, the English version of “Se stiamo insieme”, a historic song that won the Sanremo Festival which Sarah presented alongside Riccardo Cocciante.
A setlist full of rhythm and heart composed of classics from Sarah's repertoire like “Love me like you used to” and “Me and Mrs Jones”, as well as some of the most famous songs of Italian pop music revisited in a Contemporary Jazz style.

Sarah Jane Morris: icon of modern Jazz, who became famous for her collaboration with the Communards in the mid-80s and infamous for a subsequently censored version of the classic “Me and Mrs Jones”. Sarah Jane Morris has always attracted attention for both her civil commitment and her voice with soul roots, strong as a seismic wave.
