Mercoledì 16 luglio, alle ore 18, vanno in scena le nuove "Visite animate" di teatrOrtaet, allestite in collaborazione con il Comune di Saccolongo nell'ambito di Reteventi 2013, per la Chiesa di Santa Maria del Carmine a Creola di Saccolongo.
Alessandra Brocadello e Carlo Bertinelli, dopo essersi dedicati ai grandi monumenti della città, cercano di contribuire a valorizzare anche i gioielli meno noti della provincia di Padova, come questa deliziosa chiesetta: Santa Maria del Carmine detta anche della SS. Trinità, eretta nell'antico borgo rurale di Creola tra fine 1512 e inizio 1513 da Alvise Pisani, accoglie le spoglie del capitano di fanteria Benedetto Crivelli.
Il condottiero è passato alla storia per aver ricevuto da Venezia, quale compenso del suo tradimento nei confronti del re di Francia, l'intera proprietà terriera di Creola (1512), una casa presso la chiesa degli Eremitani a Padova ed il titolo di patrizio veneziano.
Le vicende, che si intersecano con la storia di Saccolongo, vengono introdotte da due simpatici personaggi, la gatta di Padova e il Leone di S. Marco, che spiegano in modo accattivante e scherzoso le vicende di questo nuovo spettacolo itinerante incentrato sulle guerre della Serenissima, raccontate da Ruzante (che frequentava la prospicente Villa Pisani).
La storia si conclude con la fine poco felice del condottiero milanese: colpito da malattia, gli venne revocato il titolo e assegnata una pensione di 100 ducati al mese. In punto di morte, nominò erede testamentario il nobile veneziano Alvise Pisani, che commissionò un sarcofago in marmo bianco di Carrara. La parte più pregevole del monumento è la copertura dove giace la figura del Crivelli, vestito dell’armatura da battaglia e con la spada al fianco sinistro.
INGRESSO LIBERO. Le visite animate sono riservate ad un massimo di 50 spettatori a visita e sono a prenotazione obbligatoria.

On Wednesday 16 July, at 6 p.m., the new "Animated visits" by teatrOrtaet, staged in collaboration with the Municipality of Saccolongo within Reteventi 2013, will take place at the Church of Santa Maria del Carmine in Creola di Saccolongo.
After having dedicated themselves to the city's great monuments, Alessandra Brocadello and Carlo Bertinelli seek to contribute to enhancing even the lesser-known jewels of the province of Padua, such as this delightful little church. Santa Maria del Carmine, also known as the Holy Trinity Church, was erected in the ancient rural village of Creola between the end of 1512 and the beginning of 1513 by Alvise Pisani, and houses the remains of infantry captain Benedetto Crivelli.
The commander went down in history for having received from Venice, as compensation for his betrayal of the King of France, the entire Creola landed estate (1512), a house near the Eremitani church in Padua and the title of Venetian patrician.
The events, which intersect with the history of Saccolongo, are introduced by two likable characters, the Cat of Padua and the Lion of St. Mark, who explain in a captivating and playful manner the events of this new travelling show centred on the wars of the Serenissima, recounted by Ruzante (who frequented the Villa Pisani in the vicinity).
The story ends with the unhappy end of the Milanese condottiere: stricken with illness, his title was revoked and he was awarded a pension of 100 ducats per month. On his deathbed, he appointed the Venetian nobleman Alvise Pisani as testamentary heir, who commissioned a sarcophagus in white Carrara marble. The most valuable part of the monument is the cover where the figure of Crivelli lies, dressed in battle armour and holding a sword at his left side.
FREE ADMISSION. Animated visits are reserved for a maximum of 50 spectators per visit and reservation is compulsory.
