Hanno costruito in oltre un decennio un’identità sonora unica, da loro stessi definita “scarlet doom”, capace di fondere doom, dark rock, jazz, blues, prog, punk, black metal e suggestioni ambient in una scrittura intensa, atmosferica e fortemente personale.
La formazione, rimasta invariata per più di dieci anni, ha consolidato nel tempo un linguaggio espressivo che sfugge alle etichette più rigide, puntando invece su una continua evoluzione stilistica e su una visione artistica estremamente coerente. L’uso di strumentazione originale anni ‘80, il ricorso a sintetizzatori e pianoforti d’epoca e una forte attenzione alla costruzione architettonica dei brani testimoniano l’approccio rigoroso e ambizioso di Alberto, Mark e Mistyr, volto a sorprendere prima di tutto sé stessi.
Al centro rimane la voce di Sara, sempre più intensa, diretta e versatile, capace di dare corpo a testi che affrontano ego, amore impossibile, autodistruzione, rinuncia, disagio e rinascita. Oggi i Messa si confermano come una band matura, compatta e in continua ascesa, capace di trasformare la sperimentazione in una forma espressiva potente, colta e profondamente contemporanea.
They have built a unique sound identity over more than a decade, which they themselves define as "scarlet doom," capable of merging doom, dark rock, jazz, blues, prog, punk, black metal, and ambient influences into an intense, atmospheric, and deeply personal writing.
The lineup, unchanged for more than ten years, has over time consolidated an expressive language that eludes the stricter labels, instead focusing on a continuous stylistic evolution and an extremely coherent artistic vision. The use of original '80s instrumentation, the reliance on vintage synthesizers and pianos, and a strong attention to the architectural construction of the songs testify to the rigorous and ambitious approach of Alberto, Mark, and Mistyr, aimed at surprising themselves above all.
At the center remains Sara's voice, increasingly intense, direct, and versatile, capable of giving substance to lyrics that tackle ego, impossible love, self-destruction, surrender, discomfort, and rebirth. Today, Messa confirms itself as a mature, cohesive, and continuously rising band, able to transform experimentation into a powerful, cultured, and profoundly contemporary form of expression.

Die Formation, die sich seit über zehn Jahren nicht verändert hat, hat im Laufe der Zeit eine ausdrucksvolle Sprache entwickelt, die sich den starren Etiketten entzieht, während sie stattdessen auf eine ständige stilistische Evolution und eine äußerst kohärente künstlerische Vision setzt. Der Einsatz von originaler Instrumentierung der 80er Jahre, der Rückgriff auf Vintage-Synthesizer und -Klaviere sowie eine große Aufmerksamkeit für die architektonische Konstruktion der Stücke zeugen von dem strengen und ambitionierten Ansatz von Alberto, Mark und Mistyr, der darauf abzielt, in erster Linie sich selbst zu überraschen.
