Sottoguda, terra ladina e punto di accesso alla gola dei Serrai, è la porta che conduce alla Marmolada ma anche l'ultimo borgo della Val Pettorina. Sia in estate che in inverno, è molto piacevole da visitare, con i suoi fienili carichi di storia e tradizione, le botteghe artigiane dove si lavora il ferro e il legno, la chiesetta gotica e i percorsi in mountain bike lungo gli antichi pascoli. Non mancano inoltre pittoreschi scorci per gli amanti della fotografia. Queste meraviglie hanno reso possibile l'entrata di Sottoguda nell'elite dei "Borghi più Belli d'Italia".
Sottoguda is Ladin territory, standing at the entrance to the gorge known as Serrai and it opens the door on Mount Marmolada. It is the last village in the valley Val Pettorina and it is a delightful place to visit in both summer and wintertime, with its haylofts full of history and tradition, its artisan workshops specialising in the wrought iron and woodwork, the Gothic chapel and the mountain bike trails along the ancient pasturelands. Keen photographers will find countless stunning views to snap. All these attractions have enabled Sottoguda to become a member of the elite association "I Borghi più Belli d'Italia" (Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages).
