Il Molinetto della Croda, nella valle del Lierza, rappresenta uno dei più suggestivi angoli della Marca Trevigiana. Nei suoi quasi quattro secoli di storia ha ispirato artisti e incantato migliaia di visitatori. Caratteristico esempio di architettura rurale del secolo XVII, l’edificio fu costruito a più riprese. Le fondazioni della primitiva costruzione poggiano sulla nuda roccia, appunto la “croda” della montagna. Successivi ampliamenti consentirono di ricavare i locali per la dimora di modeste famiglie di mugnai, sempre alle prese con la povertà e la minaccia incombente di piene improvvise e alluvioni devastanti come quelle del 1941 e del 1953. Devastante è stata anche la recente piena improvvisa del 2 agosto 2014. Il vecchio mulino, simbolo di una civiltà rurale in via di estinzione sotto l’incalzare della civiltà industriale, macinò l’ultima farina nel 1953. Successivamente rimase per alcuni anni disabitato e in stato di desolante abbandono. Recentemente è stato sottoposto a scrupolosi interventi di restauro, che hanno conservato inalterate le caratteristiche dell’edificio. Al piano terra è stata fedelmente ricostruita la macina, ora resa di nuovo funzionante. Acquistato dal Comune di Refrontolo nel 1991, questo patrimonio culturale locale è ora fruibile dalla collettività ed è meta di visite guidate scolastiche e turistiche.

I gruppi vengono ricevuti da una guida, che illustra brevemente la storia del Molinetto. Segue la dimostrazione del funzionamento del mulino che macina la farina del granoturco, come ha fatto per secoli. Questo aspetto è particolarmente importante e suggestivo, considerando anche che sono ormai rari i mulini ad acqua che ancora funzionano. Successivamente i visitatori hanno la possibilità di visitare i locali interni dell’edificio, con le Mostre in calendario per ciascun periodo dell’anno. C’è inoltre la possibilità di una breve passeggiata sopra la cascata o, se interessa, di percorrere itinerari o sentieri più lunghi. Il costo di ingresso, compresa la presentazione da parte della guida, è di € 2,00 a persona. Per gruppi, comitive e scuole è applicabile uno sconto. Durata della visita: 30/60 minuti. È necessaria la prenotazione, anche telefonica, con l’indicazione del giorno e ora di arrivo e, indicativamente, del numero delle persone.
The Molinetto della Croda, an ancient mill in the Lierza valley, is one of the most picturesque spots of the Marca Trevigiana. In nearly four centuries of history it has inspired several artists and charmed thousands of visitors. The Molinetto is a typical example of 17th century rural architecture. It was built in various successive stages. The original foundations lay on the bare rock of the mountain, the “croda”, hence the name of Molinetto della Croda. Later additions made it possible to lodge the miller families, always struggling with poverty and the threat of sudden and devastating floods like those of 1941 and 1953 . Also the recent one , dated August 02th 2014, has been extremely devastating . This old mill is a symbol of that local rural life which is today disappearing because of the industrial development of the area. The mill stopped working in 1953. It was then abandoned for several years and has been recently restored with great care and attention so as to bring back its original features. Today, on the ground floor of the building, the accurate re-make of the millstone has finally revived the mill again. This symbol of local culture and history was purchased in 1991 by the Council of Refrontolo and is now open to the public. School and tourist groups are always welcome.
INFORMATION for GUIDED TOURS to the MOLINETTO DELLA CRODA of GROUPS and SCHOOLS. The groups are received by a special guide, who outlines a brief history. After that, it follows a showing of the mill that grinds the flour of maize, as it has been done for centuries. This is particularly important and impressive, taking also into consideration that the water mills, which still work, are rare. Later on,visitors have the opportunity to visit the inner rooms of the building, with exhibitions scheduled for each period of the year. There is also the possibility to have a short walk above the falls or, if interested, to have longer routes. The entrance fee is, including the presentation of the guide, of € 2.00 per person. For groups and schools we apply a discount. Length of the visit : 30/60 minutes. Reservations are required, even by telephone, indicating the date, time of arrival and, approximately, the number of the persons who will take part in.
Die Mühle, Il Molinetto della Croda, im Lierzatal, ist eine der faszinierenden Ecken der Marca Trevigiana. Während der fast vier Jahrhunderte ihrer Geschichte hat sie viele Künstler inspiriert und tausende Besucher entzückt. Nach Beendigung seines schrittweisen Aufbaus wurde es zu einem charakteristischen Beispiel der ländlichen Baukunst des 17. Jahrhunderts. Die Grundmauern des ursprünglichen Bauwerks liegen auf nacktem Fels, eben auf der “Croda” der Berge. Die Räume wurden anschließend mehrfach erweitert, um den Müllern und ihren Angehörigen Unterkunft zu bieten , die in großer Armut lebten und oft mit Hochwasser und Überschwemmungen zu kämpfen hatten (wie z.B. in den Jahren 1941 und 1953) . Die jüngste Überschwemmung vom 2. August 2014 war auch sehr verheerend .Durch die zunehmende Industrialisierung geriet die alte Mühle immer weiter ins Abseits, bis sie schließlich im Jahre 1953 ihre Arbeit völlig einstellte. Von da ab blieb sie für einige Jahre unbewohnt und verwahrloste zusehends. Vor kurzem wurde mit den Renovierungsarbeiten des “Molinettos” begonnen, um es in allen seinen Einzelheiten originalgetreu wiederaufzubauen. Im Erdgeschoß wurde der Mühlstein funktionsfähig nachgebaut. Im Jahre 1991 ging die alte Mühle in den Besitz der Gemeinde Refrontolo über und ist heute ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel für Schulklassen und Touristen.

Die Gruppen sind von einem speziellen Führer empfangen, der eine kurze Geschichte erklärt. Nachdem gibt es die Demonstration der Mühle, die das Mehl von Mais mahlt, wie es seit Jahrhunderten getan hat. Das ist besonders wichtig und beeindruckend, wenn man bedenkt, daß die Wassermühlen, die noch arbeiten, sind selten. Später haben die Besucher die Gelegenheit, die Innenräume des Gebäudes zu besuchen, mit Ausstellungen pro Jahr geplant. Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit, einen kurzen Spaziergang oberhalb des Wasserfalls zu haben oder, wenn man interessiert, Routen oder längeren Strecken zu organisieren. Der Eintritt beträgt, einschließlich der Präsentation von dem Führer, € 2,00 pro Person. Für Gruppen und Schulen gibt es einen Rabatt. Besuchdauer: 30/60 Minuten. Reservierungen sind erforderlich, auch telefonisch, unter Angabe des Datums, Uhrzeit der Ankunft und, ungefähr, die Zahl der Personen.
Le “Molinetto della Croda”, dans la vallée du Lierza, est un paysage particulièrement suggestif de la Marca Trevigiana. Avec ses quattre siècles d’existence, il a inspiré nombreux artistes ainsi que les milliers de visiteurs qui restent béats devant telle beauté. L’édifice, construit en plusieurs tranches, est un exemple typique d’architecture rurale du XVII siècle. Les fondations de la construction primitive s’appuient directement sur la roche nue de la montagne, d’où le nom “croda’. Successivement, le moulin fut agrandit afin de pouvoir y loger les modestes familles de meuniers, qui durent toujours lutter contre la misère et la menace d’innondations dévastantes causées par les grandes crues soudaines du 1941 et du 1953. C'était aussi la récente soudaine crue dévastatrice du 2 Août, 2014. Le vieux moulin, symbole d’une civilisation rurale qui tend à disparaître sous l’avancée de la civilisation industrielle, a moulu sa dernière farine en 1953. Il resta, pendant plusieurs années, déshabité et pratiquement abandonné. Après avoir si longtemps résisté seul aux injures du temps, le vieux moulin a été sauvé, très récemment, grâce à un travail de réfection profond et méticuleux qui a parfaitement conservé et restitué à l’édifice ses précieuses caractéristiques. Au rez-de-chaussée, la meule, fidélement reconstruite, peut de nouveau chanter. Ce fleuron du patrimoine culturel local, racheté en 1991 par la Mairie de Refrontolo, est aujourd’hui à disposition de toute la collectivité; évocateur et paisible pour le promeneur solitaire, ce lieu est un point de rencontre pour les visites guideés soit scolaires que touristiques.

Suit la démonstration du fonctionnement du moulin qui broie la farine de maïs, comme cela a été pendant des siècles. Cela est particulièrement important et suggestif, considérant que sont rares les moulins à eau qui fonctionnent encor. Plus tard les visiteurs ont l'opportunité de visiter l'intérieur des salles du bâtiment, avec des expositions prévues pour chaque période d’année. Il y a aussi la possibilité d'une petite promenade au-dessus de la chute ou, si vous êtes intéressé, des parcours ou des itinéraries plus longues. Le prix d'entrée, y compris la présentation du guide, est de 2,00 € par personne. Pour groupes et écoles est applicable une réduction. Durée de la visite: 30/60 minutes.
