Escursione a tema didattico in due appuntamenti:
- Sabato 26 aprile "Andiamo in Paradiso?"
Quando, a fine ‘800, molti disperati lasciavano Casso per cercare fortuna in Brasile, i due fratelli Barzan scelsero di trasferirsi ad Arsiè per insediarsi su un terrazzo alle pendici del monte Dolada. Giunto sul posto uno di loro, guardandosi intorno, esclamò: "questo è un Paradiso!".
Partiremo anche noi dal caratteristico borgo di Arsiè e, dopo averlo visitato accompagnati da Diego Rizzo, anima e motore di questo luogo, ci incammineremo salendo fino ai Paradisi, da dove si gode di una stupenda vista ed alcune abitazioni rustiche ci parleranno del tempo andato.
Ci accoglierà, con i suoi familiari, Guido Barzan, trisnipote dei mitici fratelli, che ci narrerà storie singolari.
Lassù consumeremo una variegata e nutrita merenda, con pane fresco cotto localmente in un antico forno a legna.
Ci goderemo, da questo solatìo pianoro, un esteso panorama e ci sentiremo anche noi in… Paradiso!.
Durata circa 3 ore e mezza. Percorso su sterrato e asfaltato di 4 km con un dislivello di 350 m.
Ritrovo alle 14:30 al parcheggio di Paiane (Ponte nelle Alpi).
- Domenica 4 maggio nel Castionese alla scoperta di un antico convento tra maestosi alberi secolari.
Partendo da Modolo, dove domina la maestosa Villa Miari, raggiungeremo Prà Caval.
Qui si potrà ammirare un pregevole e misterioso (ospizio/convento?) edificio isolato, di cui molti ignorano l’esistenza, anche per l’assenza di una documentazione scritta, ma che si trovava lungo percorso frequentato da pellegrini e viandanti.
Nei pressi si potrà ammirare un imponente pioppo bianco ed un suggestivo filare di querce secolari, entrambi inseriti nel registro ministeriale degli alberi monumentali.
Proseguendo per stradine di campagna ci avvicineremo ad una profonda gola sul rio Meassa nei pressi della quale osserveremo, nel giardino di una dimora, una svettante sequoia che ricorda quella monumentale del Vajont.
Durata circa 3 ore. Percorso con un modesto dislivello.
Ritrovo alle ore 8:00 a Modolo vicino all’ingresso di villa Miari.

Educational-themed excursion in two appointments:
- Saturday, April 26 "Are We Going to Paradise?"
When, in the late 1800s, many desperate individuals left Casso in search of fortune in Brazil, the two Barzan brothers chose to move to Arsiè to settle on a terrace at the foot of Mount Dolada. Upon arrival, one of them looked around and exclaimed: "this is a Paradise!".
We will also depart from the characteristic village of Arsiè and, after visiting it with Diego Rizzo, the soul and engine of this place, we will hike up to the Paradises, where we can enjoy a stunning view and some rustic houses will tell us about times gone by.
We will be welcomed by Guido Barzan, the great-grandson of the legendary brothers, along with his family, who will recount unique stories.
Up there, we will enjoy a varied and hearty snack, with fresh locally baked bread from an ancient wood-fired oven.
From this sunny plateau, we will enjoy an extensive panorama and feel ourselves in... Paradise!.
Duration about 3 and a half hours. Route on dirt and paved roads of 4 km with a difference in elevation of 350 m.
Meeting at 14:30 at the Paiane parking lot (Ponte nelle Alpi).
- Sunday, May 4 in the Castionese discovering an ancient convent among majestic centuries-old trees.
Starting from Modolo, where the majestic Villa Miari dominates, we will reach Prà Caval.
Here, we can admire a valuable and mysterious (shelter/convent?) isolated building, of which many are unaware, also due to the lack of written documentation, but which was located along a path frequented by pilgrims and travelers.
Nearby, we will be able to admire an imposing white poplar and a suggestive row of ancient oaks, both included in the ministerial register of monumental trees.
Continuing along country lanes, we will approach a deep ravine on the Meassa river, near which we will observe, in the garden of a residence, a towering sequoia that resembles the monumental one in Vajont.
Duration about 3 hours. Route with a modest elevation gain.
Meeting at 8:00 in Modolo near the entrance of Villa Miari.

Lehrthemenwanderung in zwei Terminen:
- Samstag, 26. April "Gehen wir ins Paradies?"
Als Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts viele Verzweifelte Casso verließen, um ihr Glück in Brasilien zu suchen, entschieden sich die beiden Brüder Barzan, nach Arsiè zu ziehen, um sich auf einer Terrasse am Fuß des Monte Dolada niederzulassen. Als einer von ihnen ankam und sich umblickte, rief er: "das ist ein Paradies!".
Auch wir werden aus dem malerischen Dorf Arsiè aufbrechen und, nachdem wir es mit Diego Rizzo, der Seele und dem Motor dieses Ortes, besucht haben, werden wir uns auf den Weg zu den Paradies machen, von wo aus man eine wunderbare Aussicht genießen kann und einige rustikale Wohnhäuser uns von vergangener Zeit erzählen werden.
Guido Barzan, Urenkel der berühmten Brüder, wird uns mit seiner Familie dort empfangen und uns von einzigartigen Geschichten erzählen.
Oben werden wir eine vielfältige und nahrhafte Jause einnehmen, mit frischem Brot aus einem alten Holzofen in der Umgebung gebacken.
Von diesem sonnigen Hochplateau aus werden wir eine extensive Aussicht genießen und auch wir werden uns im… Paradies fühlen!.
Dauer etwa 3 Stunden und 30 Minuten. Strecke von 4 km auf Schotter- und Asphaltwegen mit einem Höhenunterschied von 350 m.
Treffpunkt um 14:30 auf dem Parkplatz Paiane (Ponte nelle Alpi).
- Sonntag, 4. Mai im Castionese auf der Entdeckung eines alten Klosters zwischen majestätischen, jahrhundertealten Bäumen.
Ausgehend von Modolo, wo die majestätische Villa Miari thront, erreichen wir Prà Caval.
Hier kann man ein bemerkenswertes und geheimnisvolles (Gasthaus/Kloster?) abgelegenes Gebäude bewundern, dessen Existenz viele ignorieren, auch wegen des Fehlens schriftlicher Dokumentation, aber das entlang eines von Pilgern und Reisenden frequentierten Weges lag.
In der Nähe kann man einen imposanten weißen Pappelbaum und eine eindrucksvolle Reihe jahrhundertealter Eichen bewundern, die beide im ministerialen Register der monumentalen Bäume eingetragen sind.
Auf dem Weg über Landstraßen nähern wir uns einer tiefen Schlucht am Rio Meassa, in der Nähe derer wir im Garten einer Residenz eine hoch aufragende Sequoia beobachten werden, die an die monumentale vom Vajont erinnert.
Dauer etwa 3 Stunden. Strecke mit moderatem Höhenunterschied.
Treffpunkt um 8:00 in Modolo nahe dem Eingang zur Villa Miari.

Maximal 25 Teilnehmer; Anmeldegebühr €5 (+5 für die Jause) pro Person (Minderjährige ausgenommen), die am Tag der Wanderung an den Guide zu zahlen ist.
Geeignetes Schuhwerk empfohlen, bei schlechtem Wetter wird die Wanderung abgesagt und zu einem späteren Datum neu angesetzt.
