Venerdì 20 marzo si terrà Ben Hur, spettacolo della 3^ Stagione Teatrale del Piccolo Teatro G. Pierobon di Paiane.
Sergio è uno squattrinato uomo di mezza età, ex stuntman di successo, costretto a fare il centurione davanti all’Arena per sbarcare il lunario. Si propone per le foto di rito con i turisti ma la concorrenza è tanta e gli affari iniziano a scarseggiare. Nel frattempo Maria, la sorella separata con cui vive per dividere l’affitto, impiegata in una chat line erotica, perde il lavoro. Una vita destinata ad una lenta, inesorabile deriva.
L’arrivo di Milan, clandestino bielorusso dall’accentuato istinto imprenditoriale, improvvisamente rivitalizza la precaria economia domestica e dà nuovo slancio alla coppia in crisi. Almeno così sembra… Una commedia che, pur se in maniera molto divertente, si misura con la scottante attualità dell’immigrazione con un finale a sorpresa.

On Friday, March 20, Ben Hur will take place, a performance of the 3rd Theatrical Season of the Piccolo Teatro G. Pierobon in Paiane.
Sergio is a broke middle-aged man, an ex-successful stuntman, forced to work as a centurion in front of the Arena to make ends meet. He poses for the customary photos with tourists, but the competition is fierce, and business is starting to dwindle. Meanwhile, Maria, his separated sister with whom he shares the rent, employed in an erotic chat line, loses her job. A life destined for a slow, relentless decline.
The arrival of Milan, a Belarusian illegal immigrant with a pronounced entrepreneurial instinct, suddenly revitalizes the precarious household economy and gives new momentum to the struggling couple. At least that's how it seems... A comedy that, although very entertaining, grapples with the pressing issue of immigration, featuring a surprising ending.

Sergio ist ein mittelloser Mann mittleren Alters, ein ehemaliger erfolgreicher Stuntman, der gezwungen ist, vor der Arena als Zenturio zu arbeiten, um über die Runden zu kommen. Er bietet sich für die obligatorischen Fotos mit Touristen an, aber die Konkurrenz ist groß und die Geschäfte beginnen zu schwinden. In der Zwischenzeit verliert Maria, seine getrennt lebende Schwester, mit der er sich die Miete teilt und die in einer erotischen Chatline arbeitet, ihren Job. Ein Leben, das einer langsamen, unvermeidlichen Abwärtsentwicklung gewidmet ist.
Die Ankunft von Milan, einem belarussischen Immigranten mit ausgeprägtem Unternehmertum, belebt plötzlich die prekäre Haushaltswirtschaft und gibt dem kriselnden Paar neuen Auftrieb. Zumindest scheint es so... Eine Komödie, die, auch wenn sie sehr unterhaltsam ist, sich mit der schmerzhaften Aktualität der Immigration auseinandersetzt und ein überraschendes Ende hat.
