Vero e proprio simbolo della città, la torre è oggi il campanile del Duomo di San Martino e il simbolo della comunità piovese.
Di aspetto tozzo e severo, ma anche prezioso ed elegante, presenta alcuni elementi decorativi che si ritrovano nella porta, nelle paraste e nei piccoli archi pensili caratterizzati da uno stile gotico.
I tre bassorilievi in pietra raffigurano il patrono della città, San Martino, il Leone di San Marco e lo stemma del nobile Tagliapietra, podestà di Piove e artefice della conversione in torre campanaria.
Salire meravigliati i gradini di pietra e provare l’ebbrezza di un’occhiata d’alta quota (ad oltre trenta metri), permette di ammirare da un punto di vista privilegiato gli antichi palazzi, la piazza, le vie che in essa confluiscono e, in lontananza, anche i campanili delle chiese dei paesi vicini.

True symbol of the city, the tower is now the bell tower of the Cathedral of San Martino and the symbol of the community of Piove.
Stout and austere in appearance, yet also precious and elegant, it features decorative elements that can be found in the door, the pilasters, and the small flying arches characterized by a Gothic style.
The three stone bas-reliefs depict the patron saint of the city, San Martino, the Lion of Saint Mark, and the coat of arms of the noble Tagliapietra, mayor of Piove and architect of the conversion into a bell tower.
Climbing the stone steps in wonder and experiencing the thrill of a high-altitude glance (over thirty meters), allows one to admire from a privileged viewpoint the ancient palaces, the square, the streets that flow into it, and, in the distance, even the bell towers of the churches of nearby towns.

Ein wahres Symbol der Stadt, der Turm ist heute der Glockenturm des Doms San Martino und das Symbol der Gemeinde Piove.
Von gedrungener und strenger Erscheinung, aber auch kostbar und elegant, weist er einige dekorative Elemente auf, die sich an der Tür, den Pilastern und den kleinen Hängebögen im gotischen Stil wiederfinden.
Die drei Steinreliefs stellen den Stadtpatron, San Martino, den Löwen von San Marco und das Wappen des Adelsgeschlechts Tagliapietra dar, der Podestà von Piove und Schöpfer der Umwandlung in einen Glockenturm.
Die steinernen Stufen zu erklimmen und den Rausch eines hochgelegenen Blicks (über dreißig Meter) zu erleben, ermöglicht es, die alten Paläste, den Platz, die Straßen, die dorthin führen, und in der Ferne auch die Glockentürme der Kirchen der umliegenden Dörfer aus einer privilegierten Perspektive zu bewundern.
