Arturo è un agente immobiliare di successo, ma la sua vita privata è un deserto affettivo che compensa con una passione sfrenata per i dolci. Tutto cambia quando incontra Flora, una pasticciera solare e brillante che sembra essere la sua anima gemella. L’intesa è immediata, ma sbatte contro un ostacolo insormontabile: Flora è una cattolica devotissima, mentre Arturo è un ateo convinto sin dall'infanzia.
Terrorizzato dall'idea di perderla, Arturo decide di fingere una fede che non ha, imbarcandosi in un improbabile percorso spirituale. In questa intricata rete di bugie e riflessioni esistenziali, Arturo non sarà solo: riceverà l'aiuto di un mentore d'eccezione, il Papa in persona, che diventerà il suo complice inaspettato. Tra equivoci esilaranti e momenti di introspezione, Arturo dovrà capire se il suo amore per Flora può convivere con la ricerca della verità e se sia possibile incontrare Dio passando per la gola.
Arturo is a successful real estate agent, but his private life is an emotional desert that he compensates for with an unrestrained passion for sweets. Everything changes when he meets Flora, a sunny and brilliant pastry chef who seems to be his soulmate. The chemistry is immediate, but it hits an insurmountable obstacle: Flora is a devout Catholic, while Arturo has been a convinced atheist since childhood.
Terrorized by the thought of losing her, Arturo decides to pretend to have a faith he does not possess, embarking on an unlikely spiritual journey. In this intricate web of lies and existential reflections, Arturo will not be alone: he will receive the help of an exceptional mentor, the Pope himself, who will become his unexpected accomplice. Amid hilarious misunderstandings and moments of introspection, Arturo must understand whether his love for Flora can coexist with the search for truth and if it is possible to meet God through the pleasure of food.

Zwischen komischen Missverständnissen und Momenten der Introspektion muss Arturo herausfinden, ob seine Liebe zu Flora mit der Suche nach der Wahrheit koexistieren kann und ob es möglich ist, Gott durch die Sinne zu begegnen.
