I Fireplaces sono un gruppo italiano con un conclamato e dichiarato amore per la musica d'oltreoceano.
Si formano nel marzo 2009 grazie all'incontro tra Andrea Scarso e Carlo Marchiori.
I loro riferimenti musicali sono simili e complementari come i loro caratteri: Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, Beatles, The Band, Bruce Springsteen, Grateful Dead, CCR, Elvis Presley, Tom Petty; ma anche pilastri della roots music americana come Mississippi Fred McDowel, Mississippi, John Hurt, Sister Roseta Tharpe.
Nei Fireplaces tutti cantano: nonostante la loro pelle bianca, la lezione del gospel è chiaramente impressa nel loro cuore.
Il loro show è energico e dinamico: i Fireplaces infatti non si limitano a fare "il compitino" ma, definendosi "Joy Providers", sudano, cantano, suonano e ballano finché non sono certi che il pubblico sia pronto per tornare a casa col sorriso.
In funzione di questa “missione”, se la situazione lo permette, alla fine del concerto i Fireplaces staccano i cavi degli strumenti e si mischiano in mezzo all'audience.
Nel 2015 il loro primo album è stato “Shelter from the Storm”, e nel 2018 "Soulfood".
Il 31.5.2013, durante il concerto allo stadio Euganeo di Padova di Bruce Springsteen, Caterino Riccardi ha avuto l’opportunità di suonare la washboard con Bruce Springsteen durante il brano traditional Pay Me My Money Down.
La performance è stata così apprezzata dallo stesso Bruce, che ha deciso di riproporla qualche giorno dopo a Parigi, con Everett Bradley alla washboard.
L'energia di Caterino Riccardi è stata notata e apprezzata anche da Glen Hansard (premio oscar 2008 per la canzone “Falling Slowly”) amico e collaboratore di Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) e Bono Vox (U2), che da anni ormai lo invita regolarmente a suonare nei suoi concerti in giro per l’Europa.

The Fireplaces are an Italian group with a well-known and declared love for music from across the ocean.
They formed in March 2009 thanks to the meeting between Andrea Scarso and Carlo Marchiori.
Their musical references are similar and complementary, much like their characters: Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, Beatles, The Band, Bruce Springsteen, Grateful Dead, CCR, Elvis Presley, Tom Petty; but also pillars of American roots music such as Mississippi Fred McDowell, Mississippi John Hurt, Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
In The Fireplaces, everyone sings: despite their white skin, the lesson of gospel is clearly imprinted in their hearts.
Their show is energetic and dynamic: The Fireplaces do not just "go through the motions" but, defining themselves as "Joy Providers," sweat, sing, play, and dance until they are sure the audience is ready to go home with a smile.
As part of this “mission,” if the situation allows, at the end of the concert, The Fireplaces disconnect their instruments and mingle with the audience.

On May 31, 2013, during the concert at the Euganeo Stadium in Padua by Bruce Springsteen, Caterino Riccardi had the opportunity to play the washboard with Bruce Springsteen during the traditional song Pay Me My Money Down.
The performance was so appreciated by Bruce himself that he decided to repeat it a few days later in Paris, with Everett Bradley on washboard.
The energy of Caterino Riccardi has also been noticed and appreciated by Glen Hansard (Oscar winner 2008 for the song “Falling Slowly”), a friend and collaborator of Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) and Bono Vox (U2), who has been inviting him regularly to perform at his concerts across Europe for years now.

Ihre Show ist energisch und dynamisch: Die Fireplaces beschränken sich nicht darauf, einfach "ihren Job zu machen", sondern definieren sich als "Joy Providers", schwitzen, singen, spielen und tanzen, bis sie sicher sind, dass das Publikum bereit ist, mit einem Lächeln nach Hause zu gehen.
Im Rahmen dieser "Mission", wenn es die Situation erlaubt, stecken die Fireplaces am Ende des Konzerts die Kabel ihrer Instrumente ab und mischen sich unter das Publikum.

Die Darbietung wurde von Bruce selbst so geschätzt, dass er beschloss, sie ein paar Tage später in Paris mit Everett Bradley am Waschbrett wieder aufzuführen.
