A settembre, Peschiera del Garda apre le porte della sua storia e torna a vivere le atmosfere del 1866, anno decisivo per il territorio e per il Risorgimento italiano. Dal 25 al 27 settembre 2026, la città ospita “La Caduta del Quadrilatero”, una rievocazione storica che riporta tra le mura della Fortezza uomini, uniformi, racconti e scene di vita dell’Ottocento.
Per un intero fine settimana, il centro storico e gli spazi della Fortezza si trasformano in un grande scenario d’epoca. Gli accampamenti militari prendono vita, le ronde attraversano le vie, mentre figuranti e gruppi storici ricostruiscono momenti della vita quotidiana, restituendo al pubblico l’atmosfera di una Peschiera di oltre un secolo fa.
Il racconto della storia passa così attraverso l’esperienza diretta: addestramenti, duelli, dimostrazioni e battaglie permettono di avvicinarsi agli avvenimenti del 1866, mentre visite e momenti di approfondimento aiutano a conoscere il patrimonio storico e militare della città. A completare l’atmosfera contribuiscono musiche, balli e iniziative che riportano il pubblico alla vita dell’epoca.
Tra le mura della Fortezza e lungo le vie di Peschiera, la rievocazione diventa un modo coinvolgente per riscoprire il passato e il legame tra la città, il suo patrimonio e la storia del territorio, in un’esperienza capace di coinvolgere appassionati, famiglie e visitatori.
In September, Peschiera del Garda opens the doors to its history and brings back the atmosphere of 1866, a decisive year for the area and for the Italian Risorgimento. From 25 to 27 September 2026, the town hosts “The Fall of the Quadrilateral”, a historical reenactment that brings soldiers, uniforms, stories and scenes of 19th-century life back within the walls of the fortress.
For an entire weekend, the historic centre and the fortress become a vast period setting. Military camps come to life and patrols move through the streets, while historical groups and reenactors recreate scenes from everyday life, bringing visitors the atmosphere of Peschiera as it was more than a century ago.
History is thus experienced first-hand: military drills, duels, demonstrations and battles offer an insight into the events of 1866, while visits and moments of historical interpretation help visitors discover the town’s military and cultural heritage. Music, traditional dances and other activities further contribute to recreating the atmosphere and spirit of the period.
Within the fortress walls and along the streets of Peschiera, the reenactment becomes an engaging way to rediscover the past and the connection between the town, its heritage and the history of the area, offering an experience for history enthusiasts, families and visitors.

Vom 25. bis 27. September 2026 findet in der Stadt „Der Fall des Quadrilatero“ statt, eine historische Nachstellung, die Soldaten, Uniformen, Geschichten und Szenen des Lebens im 19. Jahrhundert innerhalb der Festungsmauern wieder lebendig werden lässt.
Ein ganzes Wochenende lang verwandeln sich die Altstadt und die Festung in eine eindrucksvolle Kulisse vergangener Zeiten. Militärlager erwachen zum Leben und Patrouillen ziehen durch die Straßen, während historische Gruppen und Darsteller Szenen aus dem Alltag nachstellen und den Besuchern das Peschiera vergangener Zeiten näherbringen.
Geschichte wird dabei unmittelbar erlebbar: Militärübungen, Duelle, Vorführungen und Schlachten vermitteln einen Eindruck von den Ereignissen des Jahres 1866. Führungen und vertiefende Momente geben zugleich Einblicke in das historische und militärische Erbe der Stadt. Musik, Tänze und weitere Aktivitäten tragen dazu bei, die Atmosphäre und den Geist der damaligen Zeit wieder aufleben zu lassen.
