Il sogno di Antonio Pedrocchi è quello di fare "il più bel caffè della terra", ma questa bevanda, ora così diffusa, ha una storia complessa e intrigante, fitta di misteri, di leggende, di aneddoti, perfino di anatemi contro un uso che nei primi tempi allontanava gli uomini dal focolare domestico.
A condurci in questo viaggio in Oriente prima e nelle capitali europee poi, sarà una figura femminile, un'araba che scopriremo essere "l'aroma", l'essenza del caffè.
Dall'Oriente a Venezia, da Parigi a Londra, il caffè permetterà agli attori di teatrOrtaet di trasformarsi nei tanti personaggi che costellano questa storia. Una storia, quella del caffè, che si snoda a cavallo tra i secoli XV e XVIII, tra caffetterie e tazze di caffè, tra giornali e zollette di zucchero, tra cospirazioni e scene di vita domestica.

The dream of Antonio Pedrocchi is to make "the most beautiful coffee in the world," but this drink, now so widespread, has a complex and intriguing history, filled with mysteries, legends, anecdotes, and even curses against a use that in its early days pulled men away from the fireplace.
Leading us on this journey to the East first and then to the European capitals will be a female figure, an Arab who we will discover to be "the aroma," the essence of coffee.
From the East to Venice, from Paris to London, coffee will allow the actors of teatrOrtaet to transform into the many characters that populate this story. A story about coffee that unfolds between the 15th and 18th centuries, among coffeehouses and coffee cups, between newspapers and sugar cubes, between conspiracies and scenes of domestic life.

Der Traum von Antonio Pedrocchi ist es, "den schönsten Kaffee der Erde" zu machen, aber dieses Getränk, das heute so verbreitet ist, hat eine komplexe und faszinierende Geschichte, voll von Geheimnissen, Legenden, Anekdoten und sogar von Verfluchungen gegen eine Nutzung, die in den frühen Zeiten die Menschen vom heimischen Herd fernhielt.
Leitete uns auf dieser Reise zuerst in den Orient und dann in die europäischen Hauptstädte wird eine weibliche Figur, eine Araberin, die wir als "das Aroma", die Essenz des Kaffees, entdecken werden.
Vom Orient nach Venedig, von Paris nach London, lässt der Kaffee die Schauspieler des teatrOrtaet in die vielen Figuren schlüpfen, die diese Geschichte bevölkern. Eine Geschichte, die des Kaffees, entfaltet sich zwischen den Jahrhunderten XV und XVIII, zwischen Kaffeehäusern und Kaffeetassen, zwischen Zeitungen und Zuckerwürfeln, zwischen Verschwörungen und Szenen aus dem Familienleben.
