Il Museo della Padova Ebraica propone un nuovo appuntamento dedicato alla presentazione del libro:
"Salvatore Ottolenghi, inventore della polizia scientifica"

L'autore, Roberto Riccardi, è capo dipartimento Audit e Innovazione del Comando generale dei Carabinieri,
e dialogherà con Gina Cavalieri, Presidente della Fondazione per il Museo della Padova Ebraica.
«Roma, 4 giugno 1902. Senza appuntamento, un giovane medico varca la soglia del direttore generale della Pubblica Sicurezza. In pochi minuti convince il ministro Giolitti a creare qualcosa che non esiste: una Scuola di polizia scientifica.
Tre mesi dopo, a Regina Coeli, nasce il primo corso al mondo che trasforma l’indagine da pratica empirica a disciplina fondata sulla scienza.
Al centro di questa rivoluzione c’è Salvatore Ottolenghi, ebreo astigiano, allievo di Cesare Lombroso, animato dal desiderio di rendere la giustizia davvero giusta.»

The author, Roberto Riccardi, is head of the Audit and Innovation Department of the Carabinieri General Command, and will be in conversation with Gina Cavalieri, President of the Foundation for the Museum of Jewish Padua.
"Rome, June 4, 1902. Without an appointment, a young doctor walks through the doors of the Director General of Public Security. In a matter of minutes, he convinces Minister Giolitti to create something that doesn't exist: a School of Forensic Science. Three months later, at Regina Coeli, the world's first course transforming investigation from an empirical practice to a science-based discipline is launched. At the center of this revolution is Salvatore Ottolenghi, a Jew from Asti, a student of Cesare Lombroso, driven by the desire to ensure truly just justice."

Der Autor, Roberto Riccardi, ist Abteilungsleiter für Audit und Innovation beim Generalkommando der Carabinieri,
und wird mit Gina Cavalieri, Präsidentin der Stiftung für das Jüdische Museum Padua, im Gespräch sein.
„Rom, 4. Juni 1902. Ohne Termin betritt ein junger Arzt die Schwelle des Generaldirektors der Öffentlichen Sicherheit. In wenigen Minuten überzeugt er Minister Giolitti, etwas zu schaffen, was es nicht gibt: eine Schule für forensische Polizei.
Drei Monate später entsteht in Regina Coeli der erste Kurs der Welt, der die Ermittlungen von einer empirischen Praxis in eine auf Wissenschaft basierende Disziplin verwandelt.
Im Zentrum dieser Revolution steht Salvatore Ottolenghi, ein Astigian-Jude und Schüler von Cesare Lombroso, angetrieben von dem Wunsch, die Gerechtigkeit wirklich gerecht zu machen.“
