Il 7 marzo 2004 accadono molte cose nel mondo, tra le altre Matteo ed Edoardo compiono 15 anni e iniziano il primo giorno di scuola delle superiori. Matteo ed Edoardo sono due persone down, e spesso l’inizio delle superiori segna anche il momento in cui sono costretti a prendere consapevolezza della loro diversità, i ragazzi a quell’età possono essere crudeli. È la loro cannonata in pieno petto, è il giorno in cui si spezzano, si dividono e iniziano un lungo cammino alla ricerca di quella metà che può ridare completezza alla loro vita. Ma tutti, prima o poi, veniamo colpiti da una palla di cannone, tutti ci spezziamo. Quando finisce un amore, quando muore nostro padre. Tutti prima o poi ci troviamo dimidiati, divisi tra male e bene, nella certezza che prima o poi le nostre parti si possano ricongiungere. Ispirato al Il Visconte dimezzato questo spettacolo, che integra attori down con attori senza disabilità, racconta di questa ricerca.

Freely inspired by the short story "The Cloven Viscount" by Italo Calvino

On March 7, 2004, many things happened in the world. Among them, Matteo and Edoardo turned 15 and began their first day of high school. Matteo and Edoardo are both people with Down syndrome, and the start of high school often marks the moment they are forced to acknowledge their differences; kids at that age can be cruel. It's a cannonball in their chests, the day they break, they divide, and they begin a long journey in search of that other half that can restore completeness to their lives. But sooner or later, we all get hit by a cannonball; we all break. When a love ends, when our father dies. Sooner or later, we all find ourselves split in two, torn between good and bad, in the certainty that sooner or later our parts will reunite. Inspired by The Half Viscount, this show, which integrates actors with Down syndrome with actors without disabilities, tells the story of this search.

frei inspiriert von der Erzählung "Der halbierte Graf" von Italo Calvino

Am 7. März 2004 geschehen viele Dinge in der Welt, unter anderem feiern Matteo und Edoardo ihren 15. Geburtstag und beginnen ihren ersten Schultag in der Oberstufe. Matteo und Edoardo sind zwei Menschen mit Down-Syndrom, und oft markiert der Beginn der Oberstufe auch den Moment, in dem sie bewusst mit ihrer Andersartigkeit konfrontiert werden; in diesem Alter können die Jugendlichen grausam sein. Es ist ihr Kanonenschuss ins Herz, der Tag, an dem sie zerbrechen, sich trennen und einen langen Weg auf der Suche nach der Hälfte beginnen, die ihr Leben wieder vollständig machen kann. Aber wir alle werden früher oder später von einer Kanonenkugel getroffen, wir alle zerbrechen. Wenn eine Liebe endet, wenn unser Vater stirbt. Wir alle finden uns früher oder später halbiert, geteilt zwischen Gut und Böse, in der Gewissheit, dass unsere Teile sich früher oder später wieder vereinen können. Inspiriert von Der halbierte Graf erzählt dieses Stück, das Schauspieler mit Down-Syndrom mit nicht behinderten Schauspielern integriert, von dieser Suche.
