Nel lavoro di Francesca Piccinni, artista di origine pugliese, ma nata e cresciuta a Padova, la città non
è solo rappresentata, ma attraversata e restituita come esperienza. Le opere nascono da un processo
fatto di osservazione, cammino e rielaborazione pittorica: immagini che trattengono frammenti di realtà e
li trasformano in segni, colore e relazione. Ne emerge una ricerca che parla di appartenenza in senso
ampio, oltre i confini geografici o biografici.
In occasione della giornata di inaugurazione il 17 aprile ore 18.30, sarà prevista una breve introduzione
sulla storia del Porto fluviale del Portello e di Porta Ognissanti a cura dell’associazione Comitato Mura di
Padova. A seguire l’artista racconterà la sua città attraverso le opere esposte.

In the work of Francesca Piccinni, an artist originally from Puglia but born and raised in Padua, the city is not
only represented but navigated and returned as an experience. The works arise from a process
of observation, walking, and pictorial re-elaboration: images that hold fragments of reality and
transform them into signs, color, and relationship. A research emerges that speaks of belonging in a
broad sense, beyond geographical or biographical boundaries.
On the occasion of the opening day on April 17 at 6:30 PM, a brief introduction
on the history of the River Port of Portello and Porta Ognissanti will be provided by the Comitato Mura di
Padova association. Following this, the artist will narrate her city through the exhibited works.

von Beobachtung, Weg und malerischer Neugestaltung: Bilder, die Fragmente der Realität festhalten und
sie in Zeichen, Farbe und Beziehung verwandeln. Es entsteht eine Forschung, die von Zugehörigkeit im weitesten
Sinne spricht, jenseits geografischer oder biografischer Grenzen.
Zur Eröffnung am 17. April um 18.30 Uhr ist eine kurze Einführung
zur Geschichte des Flusshafens von Portello und von Porta Ognissanti unter der Leitung des Vereins Comitato Mura di
Padova vorgesehen. Anschließend erzählt die Künstlerin von ihrer Stadt anhand der ausgestellten Werke.
