Dal 12 dicembre 2025 all'8 marzo 2026 il Museo Eremitani di Padova espone la "Collezione Centanini", appartenente al patrimonio artistico della Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, in una mostra curata da Alessia Vedova, con la collaborazione scientifica di Elisabetta Vanzelli.
Per la prima volta a Padova si potranno così ammirare le testimonianze di ben 5 secoli di grande arte, in 70 opere tra cui diversi autentici capolavori.
La Collezione venne donata alla Fondazione dall'avvocato Pietro Centanini nel 2015. Riunisce ciò che era stato collezionato nel tempo dalla storica famiglia di origini veneziane stabilitasi poi a Stanghella e le acquisizioni che l’avvocato stesso fece sin da quando era ancora studente di giurisprudenza a Padova.
A fronte della collezione familiare, che riuniva quadri eseguiti tra il Seicento e il primo Ottocento, il suo gusto si orientò verso l’arte moderna. Dagli anni Ottanta gli acquisti si concentrano molto coerentemente sull’Ottocento italiano, con punte di vera eccellenza.
Da questi apporti prende corpo una collezione che denota una profonda cultura coniugata con il gusto del momento. Una collezione di altissimo livello non solo per i nomi in essa via via aggiunti ma soprattutto per la qualità, notevolissima, delle opere acquisite.
Mostra promossa dalla Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo e dai Musei Civici di Padova – Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di Padova.

From December 12, 2025, to March 8, 2026, the Eremitani Museum in Padua will exhibit the "Centanini Collection", part of the artistic heritage of the Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo Foundation, in an exhibition curated by Alessia Vedova, with the scientific collaboration of Elisabetta Vanzelli.
For the first time in Padua, visitors will be able to admire the testimonies of as many as 5 centuries of great art, through 70 works, including several authentic masterpieces.
The Collection was donated to the Foundation by lawyer Pietro Centanini in 2015. It brings together what had been collected over time by the historic family of Venetian origins, which later settled in Stanghella, and the acquisitions that the lawyer himself made since he was still a law student in Padua.
In contrast to the family collection, which featured paintings executed between the Seventeenth and early Nineteenth centuries, his taste shifted towards modern art. Since the 1980s, purchases have very coherently focused on Italian Nineteenth-century art, showcasing peaks of true excellence.
From these contributions, a collection emerges that denotes a deep culture combined with the taste of the moment. A collection of the highest level not only because of the names gradually added but especially due to the remarkable quality of the acquired works.

Vom 12. Dezember 2025 bis zum 8. März 2026 zeigt das Museo Eremitani in Padua die "Sammlung Centanini", die zum künstlerischen Erbe der Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova und Rovigo gehört, in einer von Alessia Vedova kuratierten Ausstellung mit der wissenschaftlichen Zusammenarbeit von Elisabetta Vanzelli.
Zum ersten Mal in Padua können so die Zeugnisse von 5 Jahrhunderten großer Kunst in 70 Werken bewundert werden, darunter mehrere echte Meisterwerke.
Die Sammlung wurde 2015 von dem Anwalt Pietro Centanini der Stiftung gespendet. Sie vereint das, was über die Jahre von der historisch venezianischen Familie, die sich später in Stanghella niederließ, gesammelt wurde, sowie die Erwerbungen, die der Anwalt selbst bereits während seines Studiums der Rechtswissenschaften in Padua machte.
Im Vergleich zur Familiensammlung, die Gemälde aus dem 17. bis frühen 19. Jahrhundert vereinte, wandte sich sein Geschmack der modernen Kunst zu. Ab den 1980er Jahren konzentrierten sich die Käufe sehr konsequent auf die italienische Kunst des 19. Jahrhunderts, mit echten Spitzenleistungen.
Aus diesen Beiträgen entsteht eine Sammlung, die eine tiefe Kultur mit dem Geschmack der Zeit vereint. Eine Sammlung von höchstem Niveau, nicht nur wegen der Namen, die sukzessive hinzugefügt wurden, sondern vor allem wegen der außergewöhnlich hohen Qualität der erworbenen Werke.
Die Ausstellung wird von der Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova und Rovigo sowie den städtischen Museen von Padua – Kulturabteilung der Gemeinde Padua – gefördert.
