Dal 12 dicembre 2025 al 6 aprile 2026 il Museo Eremitani di Padova espone la "Collezione Centanini", appartenente al patrimonio artistico della Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, in una mostra curata da Alessia Vedova, con la collaborazione scientifica di Elisabetta Vanzelli.
Per la prima volta a Padova si potranno così ammirare le testimonianze di ben 5 secoli di grande arte, in 70 opere tra cui diversi autentici capolavori.
La Collezione venne donata alla Fondazione dall'avvocato Pietro Centanini nel 2015. Riunisce ciò che era stato collezionato nel tempo dalla storica famiglia di origini veneziane stabilitasi poi a Stanghella e le acquisizioni che l’avvocato stesso fece sin da quando era ancora studente di giurisprudenza a Padova.
A fronte della collezione familiare, che riuniva quadri eseguiti tra il Seicento e il primo Ottocento, il suo gusto si orientò verso l’arte moderna. Dagli anni Ottanta gli acquisti si concentrano molto coerentemente sull’Ottocento italiano, con punte di vera eccellenza.
Da questi apporti prende corpo una collezione che denota una profonda cultura coniugata con il gusto del momento. Una collezione di altissimo livello non solo per i nomi in essa via via aggiunti ma soprattutto per la qualità, notevolissima, delle opere acquisite.
Mostra promossa dalla Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo e dai Musei Civici di Padova – Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di Padova.

From December 12, 2025, to April 6, 2026, the Museo Eremitani in Padua will exhibit the "Centanini Collection", part of the artistic heritage of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, in an exhibition curated by Alessia Vedova, with the scientific collaboration of Elisabetta Vanzelli.
For the first time in Padua, visitors will be able to admire testimonies of 5 centuries of great art, through 70 works, including several authentic masterpieces.
The Collection was donated to the Foundation by lawyer Pietro Centanini in 2015. It unites what was collected over time by the historic family of Venetian origins, which later settled in Stanghella, and the acquisitions made by the lawyer himself since he was still a law student in Padua.
In contrast to the family collection, which featured paintings created between the Seventeenth and early Nineteenth centuries, his taste shifted towards modern art. From the 1980s onwards, purchases have consistently focused on Italian Nineteenth-century art, with peaks of true excellence.
These contributions shape a collection that denotes a profound culture combined with the taste of the moment. A collection of the highest level not only for the names gradually added but especially for the remarkable quality of the acquired works.

Vom 12. Dezember 2025 bis zum 6. April 2026 zeigt das Museo Eremitani in Padua die "Centanini-Sammlung", die zum künstlerischen Erbe der Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova und Rovigo gehört, in einer Ausstellung, die von Alessia Vedova kuratiert und von Elisabetta Vanzelli wissenschaftlich unterstützt wird.
Zum ersten Mal in Padua können somit die Zeugnisse von 5 Jahrhunderten großer Kunst in 70 Werken, darunter mehrere echte Meisterwerke, bewundert werden.
Die Sammlung wurde 2015 von dem Anwalt Pietro Centanini an die Stiftung gespendet. Sie vereint, was im Laufe der Zeit von der historischen Familie venezianischen Ursprungs, die sich später in Stanghella niedergelassen hat, gesammelt wurde, sowie die Erwerbungen, die der Anwalt selbst tätigte, als er noch Jurastudent in Padua war.
Vor dem familiären Sammlung, die Gemälde aus dem 17. bis frühen 19. Jahrhundert vereinte, orientierte sich sein Geschmack hin zur modernen Kunst. Ab den 1980er Jahren konzentrieren sich die Käufe sehr konsequent auf das italienische 19. Jahrhundert, mit wahrhaft ausgezeichneten Spitzen.
Aus diesen Beiträgen entsteht eine Sammlung, die eine tiefe Kultur verbindet mit dem Geschmack der Zeit. Eine Sammlung von höchster Qualität, nicht nur wegen der im Laufe der Zeit hinzugefügten Namen, sondern vor allem wegen der äußerst bemerkenswerten Qualität der erworbenen Werke.
Ausstellung gefördert von der Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova und Rovigo sowie den Civici Musei di Padova – Kulturressort der Stadt Padua.
