Palazzo Bo: dal teatro anatomico alla cattedra di Galileo
lunedì 1 giugno 2026 - Padova
Padovanità propone per gli oltre 800 anni di gloriosa storia dell' amato ateneo, una interessante visita a Palazzo del Bo, uno dei complessi edilizi più grandi e importanti di Padova, e sede universitaria già a fine Quattrocento.
Il palazzo si compone di due corpi di fabbrica. Il primo si articola intorno al cosiddetto Cortile Antico, realizzato a partire dal 1547, occupato in epoca medievale dall’Hospitium Bovis, una locanda collocata nella zona delle beccherie, ovvero delle macellerie. In ragione delle sue origini, Palazzo del Bo ha mantenuto nel suo nome l’antico appellativo di questo spazio.
La visita, con una guida completamente a nostra disposizione, inizierà dalla biglietteria in Cortile Nuovo e proseguirà all'interno del Palazzo del Bo passando per il teatro anatomico, la cattedra di Galileo Galilei, apprezzando la parte cinquecentesca e poi quella novecentesca (Bo Grande).
Sono previsti 2 turni di visita:
- primo turno alle ore 11:00
- secondo turno alle ore 16:00
Durata delle visita (indicativa) 1 ora e 30 minuti
E' richiesto un contributo di € 15 (€ 13 per i tesserati), per i bambini fino ai 12 anni di soli € 10.

Padovanità offers an interesting visit to Palazzo del Bo, one of the largest and most important building complexes in Padova, and a university headquarters since the late 15th century, to celebrate over 800 years of glorious history of the beloved university.
The palace consists of two wings. The first is organized around the so-called Cortile Antico, built starting in 1547, which was occupied in the medieval era by the Hospitium Bovis, an inn located in the area of the butcheries. Due to its origins, Palazzo del Bo has retained the ancient name of this space.
The visit, with a guide entirely at our disposal, will begin at the ticket office in Cortile Nuovo and continue inside Palazzo del Bo, passing through the anatomical theater, Galileo Galilei's chair, appreciating the 16th-century part and then the 20th-century part (Bo Grande).
There will be 2 time slots for the visit:
- first slot at 11:00 a.m.
- second slot at 4:00 p.m.
Duration of the visit (indicative) 1 hour and 30 minutes
A contribution of € 15 is required (€ 13 for members), for children up to 12 years old only € 10.

Palazzo Bo: vom anatomischen Theater zum Lehrstuhl von Galileo
Montag, 1. Juni 2026 - Padua
Padovanità bietet anlässlich der über 800 Jahre glorreicher Geschichte der geliebten Universität eine interessante Besichtigung des Palazzo del Bo, einem der größten und wichtigsten Gebäudekomplexe in Padua, der bereits im späten 15. Jahrhundert Sitz der Universität war.
Der Palazzo besteht aus zwei Baukörpern. Der erste erstreckt sich um den sogenannten Cortile Antico, der ab 1547 errichtet wurde und im Mittelalter vom Hospitium Bovis, einer Gaststätte in der Nähe der Metzgereien, genutzt wurde. Aufgrund seiner Ursprünge hat der Palazzo del Bo den alten Namen dieses Raumes beibehalten.
Die Führung, mit einem Führer, der uns vollständig zur Verfügung steht, beginnt am Ticketverkauf im Cortile Nuovo und führt durch den Palazzo del Bo, vorbei am anatomischen Theater, dem Lehrstuhl von Galileo Galilei und zur würdigenden Besichtigung des 16. Jahrhunderts und anschließend des 20. Jahrhunderts (Bo Grande).
Es sind 2 Führungen vorgesehen:
- erste Führung um 11:00 Uhr
- zweite Führung um 16:00 Uhr
Dauer der Besichtigung (ungefähr) 1 Stunde und 30 Minuten
Ein Beitrag von 15 € (13 € für Mitglieder) wird erbeten, für Kinder bis 12 Jahre nur 10 €.
